Any Ideas How To Reduce Side View Mirror Night Glare?

Does anyone know of a method to reduce the nighttime head light glare form vehicles following?
Is it as simple as applying some window tint film?

I also have problems with bright lights in the side mirrors. Glaucoma can cause problems like that. I put the circular mirrors on both sides. see the pic. I sometimes may need to move my head a little but it really helps. I can also now see the lines of the parking space so I know if I might need to move the mav over a little.

Could have had them just by getting the CP-360, along with a real tire for a spare. Did not need to go all the way to an XLT. May have gotten lower insurance rates too!

You could've just added CP360. That's the only option I added to my XL. Power mirrors, blind spot warnings and other safety additions in that package. Plus larger spare for the Hybrid.

Was $650 for '23 model year.

One thing I miss from my F-150 is the anti-glare outside rear view mirrors. My explorer has them but I don't drive it often it's more of a weekend warrior.

I just had windows tinted, I will let you know , for I noticed the same thing with the nighttime glare in the mirrors. ( ALL LEGAL TINT, NOT DARK)

Drove last night and tint does make a difference on mirror glare.

A touch of envy here. NYS is very hard on add-on window tint when it comes to the front windows. a small bubble in the tint will get you pulled over and metered.

Just have to make sure who installs it has a meter to check while installing, and know the specific state laws In your state, mine ,all legal for florida.

Well this option depends on how much traffic you have behind you. But if I'm driving down the highway and there's somebody right behind me and their lights are shining in my mirrors, I just slow down enough that it irritates the hell out of them and then they pass me. No more lights in my mirrors.

Your mirrors are not correctly set up. You should not be able to see the guy behind you in the side mirrors, so the lights won't blind you anyway. Side mirrors are for looking out the rear corners, not for looking straight back. If you have load on and need to see straight back with the side mirrors instead of the rearview mirror, move your head over instead.

At over $700 for one and two are needed. Plus installation in calibration.
Ordering it from the factory seems like a bargain when you consider trying to add it later. Kind of like the $100 trailer hitch from the factory versus adding a factory trailer hitch after the fact.

The location is the same for all trims of Ford Maverick. XL, XLT & Lariat.

Ford Ranger, F150 and above have their sensors in their taillights as shown below.

FWIW, The BLIS sensors are not in the taillights. At least not in my '24 Lariat.

Tips

• Confirm Trim: Lariat taillights are different from XL/XLT due to the integrated blind spot sensor.
• OEM Numbers: Verify the part number (like NZ6Z-13404-C for passenger) to ensure compatibility.
