There's a lot of talk on here and in general, online, about how the lariat isn't "worth it" and "you're turning a 20k truck into a 50k truck" etc. But has anyone genuinely regretted getting the lariat? I'm asking for 2 reasons,

1. This is anecdotal, but I would make the decision again in a heartbeat. I love it, and i love every extra little feature it includes. I think the argument that I could get a ranger for the same price is a stupid argument because I don't need the extra capability of a ranger and I want the extra features that wouldn't come with a base model ranger. It's like asking why wouldn't someone get a mustang instead of a miata. Some people just want the miata.
2. I frequently see people spend more money modifying their trucklets to copy a Lariat than had they just gone with it in the first place. 1000$ seat covers, thousands in speaker upgrades, diy wireless charging/400w bed plug etc etc. Seems like they should have just got the lariat in the first place.

I’m super happy with all my Lariat extras.
My next Mav will be a Lariat.
What stands out the most to me is the super quiet cabin and the B&O stereo.

Buy once; cry once.

I bought my truck with the intention of running the wheels off it, getting new wheels, and running those off. So, I had no heartburn with spending a little more and getting exactly what I wanted. Given I put roughly 6,000 miles a year on it, I am on pace to get 20+ years out of this truck unless I hand it down to my son.

The auto-cruise and lane-centering are great adds. Also, the leather wrapped steering wheel is very soft! So to me, yes, the Lariat is worth every penny.

I thought that I might find the Black Lariat BAP activeX vinyl seats get too hot... Been okay so far... I do have a brand new unused full XLT Tremor (basically XLT Bap w/ lettering) Cloth interior I can swap out if I want. Might just sell off the XLT Tremor Cloth Interior though...

I think for what you get it’s worth it, to me it makes the truck seem not quite as “cheap” if that makes sense. Plus, I’ve never heard anybody say I regret getting all the options lol it’s usually the other way around. I drove one of the XLs before I ordered mine and that was enough reason to get the Lariat.

Bought mine used so I didn't pay full price but I have no regrets. Features are great and I kind of have a feeling that a lower trim, especially one without push to start, Sync 3, and CoPilot, would feel a bit like a penalty box for me personally. I love the concept of a cheap, no frills truck but for my main vehicle, I like some modern amenities and features that make it way more enjoyable to drive.

wanted a lariat, ordered a lariat, will be am very happy with my lariat. even if i don't use every little extra all the time i'll be glad they are there when i want them. like you said, pay and get it, or pay more just to add things on. same with the 4k tow package. i don't have a 4k trailer i'll be towing right now, but i might some day and i'll be glad i spent that extra money now than regret it later.

i've always ordered my vehicles with all the bells and whistles and never regretted it. i can afford it, might as well enjoy it while i'm here. can't take it with me when i'm gone. the family can fight over who gets it. 🤣

I am very happy with my 2023 EB Lariat. Ordered mine late in 2022 and it was nowhere near the 50k price. I like having all the bells and whistles. Truck has been solid so far. Only 2 recalls both done in my driveway by Ford Mobile Service. I recently retired and had company cars for the last 40 years with the last 5 years having Ford Escapes with the EcoBoost. Both those vehicles were solid vehicles and even bought one when lease was up for my wife. That’s why I went EcoBoost route when ordering my Maverick. Not sorry one bit. Though the mpg is not as good as the hybrid. Getting mid 25’s around town and over 30 on highway is nothing to balk at. Glad I went with my choice and would probably do it again.

I see this word a lot in these forums. "regret".

What does that actually mean? Don't you know what you're buying? I'd certainly hope so if you're willing to drop 40k after tax, title, and license on a highly trimmed, basic truck.

This is a rhetorical comment. There is no answer - some will never be happy in any vehicle they purchase.
