  1. Tonneau cover dilemma

Just to clarify, i didnt sign off sight unseen. Truck came in on a Monday, i inspected it, test drove it etc. During the week I got my paperwork sorted out, dealer ordered/installed accessories. Saturday morning I went to pick it up. I didn't think I'd need a second inspection as I was under...
  2. Tonneau cover dilemma

Unfo unfortunately my dumb ass thought it would be fine so I tried living with it for 3 months. Well past the "return" date. I might see if the dealer will do an exchange or something and maybe I can get some money back but I think I'd have better luck trying to beat a monkey in a poo flinging...
  3. Tonneau cover dilemma

After I'd already signed the paperwork and they walked me out to the vehicle.
  4. Tonneau cover dilemma

Nope. They just added a $1200 cad surcharge to the price of the vehicle under "accessories". There was no discussion or paperwork prior to me picking up the truck that would imply it's a 3rd party 2 fold.
  5. Tonneau cover dilemma

But that's exactly why I'm frustrated. At no point did the dealer say or imply they were putting a 3rd party cover on my truck. They just slapped a price on the total cost that was the same as the OEM cover. I incorrectly assumed that a ford dealer, selling me a ford truck, would charge me...
  6. Tonneau cover dilemma

Hello all, I have yet another post on tonneau covers to add to the forum. Only this time I'm seeking advice/validation on my situation. When I ordered my truck, the dealer said the tri-fold tonneau cover from ford could hold the order up. Weather was going to get bad soon, and my wife's car...
  7. 2025 Maverick Hybrid engine braking?

Eco mode does the same thing
  8. Has anyone ever regretted getting a lariat?

There's a lot of talk on here and in general, online, about how the lariat isn't "worth it" and "you're turning a 20k truck into a 50k truck" etc. But has anyone genuinely regretted getting the lariat? I'm asking for 2 reasons, 1. This is anecdotal, but I would make the decision again in a...
  9. Finally got my 2025+Lariat+Hybrid+AWD, first thoughts and impressions:

I wonder if the acoustic windshield on the lariat makes that much of a difference. My wife and I can almost whisper to each other at highway speeds even with the extreme road noise from the winter tires. There's also a bit of wind noise coming off the mirrors but it's still surprisingly quiet...
  10. Finally got my 2025+Lariat+Hybrid+AWD, first thoughts and impressions:

I'm really glad I did as much reading on this thing as I did. There are so many polar opposite opinions around this truck and I was nervous I'd hate mine. From QC issues to poor fit/finish, cheap interior, recall this recall that, the AWD isn't good offroad, "it's a 20,000$ vehicle and you're...
  11. 2025 Lariat Remote Start not Heating seats and Steering wheel

When I went to go pick up my truck my salesman explained this to me. Turn everything on before you turn the truck off.
  12. 2025 Maverick Lariat EcoBoost AWD - First Road Trip Impressions!

I also read about this. I'm pretty sure it does have it. Not sure how I feel about it because one of my favorite past times is speeding in school zones. If they take that away from me I'll have nothing left.
  13. 2025 Maverick AWD Hybrid Fuel Efficiency (Real World MPG) Test by TFL

As a young buyer I hate the touchscreen controls. It's not us that wants this, it's the bean counters that don't want anything repairable.
  14. TFL Slip Test on 2025 Maverick Hybrid AWD

Time to take your meds grandpa. Turning traction control off isn't that big of a deal.
  15. TFL Slip Test on 2025 Maverick Hybrid AWD

What in the scitzo posting is this. Who is "we"? Are you more than one person? I'm so lost.
  16. TFL Slip Test on 2025 Maverick Hybrid AWD

Oh my bad I thought the fx4 came with limited slip diffs like the tremor. Whose putting a skid plate on an open diff awd vehicle lmao.
  17. TFL Slip Test on 2025 Maverick Hybrid AWD

I'm still fully convinced that ford is intentionally gimping the torque vectoring so they can sell more fx4 and tremor packages. It's literally as simple as making it apply the brakes more to the free spinning wheel. as a thought experiment, if the base awd did almost as good as an fx4 or...
  18. TFL Slip Test on 2025 Maverick Hybrid AWD

I think it's less about doing something that's it's meant to do, vs bad programming not allowing it to do something that it could do. The fact that it's not even trying to grab the free spinning wheel a lot of the time means they're doing some fuckery.
  19. TFL Slip Test on 2025 Maverick Hybrid AWD

I was wondering the same thing. My theory is it would cut into fx4 and/or tremor sales if the base one could do offroady stuff so the intentionally gimp it.
