The soy-based/rodent issues are typically in the wire harness insulation/jacketing, not from a molded plastic part, so I would not expect rodent issues from the cover. Not sure where Ford sources the wiring harnesses, but that would be where the "attraction" is, if there is one.
I don’t know about the makeup of the cover, but it is not plastic. It has a rubbery or foam type feel to it. It’s very flexible.

Hope it doesn’t draw those little critters.

I long suspected it would fit so this is great to see my suspicions were correct. I generally don't like engine covers; but this looks pretty darn good on the Maverick.

Thought y’all might like seeing the engine bay cleaned up a little. I bought the cover available for the Escape 2.0.

Fits great. You will want to buy the additional studs to secure it with but all in it was only about $75.

Any advantage to adding this other than the cleaner look?

I can’t say for sure that it runs quieter. I didn’t do it for that reason, but I must say my truck certainly does run quietly.

I did it for, what I think, is a much cleaner look under the hood.

Post 61 I posted the PN for the Hybrid escape version. That is likely the Hybrid mavericks best shot, since they both use the same 2.5L and very similar Hybrid systems.
AWESOME! Thanks very much!

On the downside, possibly, rumors abound that these covers are made from some of that soy plastic crop and rodents might enjoy eating it.....
I thought electrical wiring is also coated in the same stuff that makes it a rodent delicacy? Not sure though.

There was no need to get so offensive. I was just stating an opinion and that's it. I wasn't trying to "belittle his decision" at all. That wasn't my intention. And no I did not mean it as it came across. But you're right, I shouldn't have used "stupid" but I did not try to squash his joy of sharing it with somebody. I just stated an opinion that I'm sure not everyone will agree on. However, if I offended @ The Weatherman or you personally, I apologize. But when I post a comment on here from now on, I do not want to be perceived as a jerk.
I agree with your opinion. I removed and discarded the engine cover on every vehicle I've owned that came with one. Definitely wouldn't be something that I'd go out of my way to purchase and install, but to each their own!

I had a 2015 Mustang and it was the first vehicle I ever owned where water and mud would end up splashing all over the engine bay just doing normal city driving. I've seen a few Mavericks on Youtube that were pretty new and lightly used and I noted the same splashing all over their engine bays. I for one would rather have to wipe down an engine cover than have to wipe down the coil packs and all the intricate spaces on the unprotected engine without the cover..

I think the cover finishes off the under hood look. I will be doing this if my Maverick ever arrives. Dealer is talking April now.:(:(

It does look very clean with the cover. I may get one too, since that is something I can obviously install myself, and looks so good.

I just priced out the cover at my local dealer here in Canada and was quoted $45 CAD. Usually things like this are cheaper in the US but not always.;) That's about $35 USD.

That’s a deal. It’s more like $70 US here.

Price here in Ontario is $98.00. Better double check at $45.00!
