We also have the quality one direct from Ford and if you adjust the cover back so it seals the tailgate and the front there is absolutely no water intrusion into the bed. I have seen several non ford ones and they adjust them too far to the front of the bed. Try shifting it back so it is seals at the tailgate while stil sealing the front. The sides seal just fine.I put on the Ford tri-fold cover which looks very simular to a Backflip cover. Fits good. Not totally water tight but protects well from rain.
I agree with Blue Max! I came here to mention about My tonneau cover and I would have used the exact same words in almost the exact same order as listed above so.... Maybe I am blue Max and I just don't rememberI had mine factory installed, so I don't know the dimensions, but it fits great and keeps essentially all water out. Also, all three folds fold up, but if you have them all folded up, it blocks the rear window.
It potects the rear window when folded up. That is what side mirrors are for.I had mine factory installed, so I don't know the dimensions, but it fits great and keeps essentially all water out. Also, all three folds fold up, but if you have them all folded up, it blocks the rear window.

Not sure what you mean about your top having latches that bend the bed? There is nothing on the Ford cover that could in anyway bend the bed, so no such thing with the Ford Tonneau cover. Really like that you can reach the cables to release each segment from either side of the vehicle. Also, because it is 3/4" thick it is very secure.I use this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BNMKS29M?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_4
Interestingly enough, now Amazon says that it does not fit the 2025 Maverick when in fact it fits just fine. I am not crazy about the latches under as they bend the bed small metal return
I was just explaining the situation to the original poster, not making a value judgment. It potects the rear window when folded up. That is what side morros are for.
Ditto on the Oedro cover, here. Gloss black, supports 400 lbs. Has safety latches. Installed in 20 minutes once out of the box. My previous truck (Tacoma) sported a $350.00 cover for 4 years when I sold it. - looked brand new. I wouldn't trust ANY tonneau cover not to leak. Cut a piece of plastic lattice to put on the bed floor and keep cargo out of what little water finds its way in. In my experience, the tonneau hinges don't leak - the leaks occur at the bed/cover connection, mostly at the front edge. This worked for well for me so far. Amazon

The Ford tri-fold badged as a Ford and sold by ford is manufactured by Advantage. You can only buy it at a Ford dealership, the manufacturer does not sell it retail elsewhere. It has nothing to do with BakFlip and Rough Country. It is the Cadillac of tonneau covers for the Maverick.I have the Ford accessory tri-fold and after having a few different covers over the years I can say it's the best one I've had. It pretty much looks and functions like the BakFlip and the Rough Country and I believe I read somewhere that it's probably made by Rough Country for Ford, so the RC would probably do for you just as well. Worth the money for longevity, reliability, and great looks.
You likely need to adjust your top so that it seals completely at the front and the tailgate. Many I have seen have the cover too far forward toward the cab. It needs to be slid back a bit from what you would think it should so that it also seals tight against the tailgate. We get no water intrusion whatsover into the bed at a car wash.Ordered 24 with the Ford trifold. Works good. Truck was about buried this past week up in Maine during 2 blizzards. No snow in bed. Does leak in a car wash (amount varies) and a little when hand washing.
