Hey everyone, I currently have a 2023 XLT FX4 with the optional upgraded rims and Falken tires that come stock on the Tremor. I’ve rode in about every Maverick trim except the tremor, and from what I’ve been hearing there is supposedly a noticeable difference in ride quality with tremor due to the suspension upgrades. For those of you that have driven both, is the difference really that substantial, or is it just noticeable over the huge bumps? And has anyone been able to swap the tremor suspension into a standard awd?

My nephew drove my Tremor, he has a 24 hybrid XLT, he said it's a night and day difference between the two.
The 24 hybrid XLT should only be front wheel drive with a solid style rear axle. Yours would be independent rear suspension. It should be a big deference.

Define " better" i think it would ride worse with the stiffer suspension. But yes,off road, less bouncing.

Maverick Tremor has slightly softer springs and slightly more restrictive/stiffer shocks. The softer springs give you a tad bit more articulation, and the more restrictive shocks decrease the risk of your springs bottoming out.

On paved roads this translates to a stiffer ride. On dirt roads, this translates to a noticeably more compliant ride than the non-tremor EB AWD.

I can attest to those driving characteristics having traded my ‘22 EB non-FX4 AWD for a ‘23 Tremor.

Edit: I have previously tried to find more tremor suspension spec details with not much luck. https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/tremor-suspension-specs.47347/

My wife and I were able to test drive the hybrid, fx4, and tremor at the same dealership on the same day. We could immediately tell the difference in ride quality. Proud owner of a 2024 XLT Tremor.

I went from a '23 XLT FX4 to a '24 Lariat Tremor and I've noticed a difference

I have a 24 Maverick AWD with the Tremor package. Now I'm usually a Dodge man didn't really like Ford's at all but I was looking for a new truck and my friend let me drive his 23 mav and then I test drove the mav I have now and yes there are major noticeable differences.......1. I can lock the rear differential. 2. I can put it in 4wheel lock witch makes the front and back full possie traction. 3. I have 5 different settings on my transmission and can feel a difference in all 5. In conclusion the Tremor I have unless it gets high centered is unstoppable I'm in the southern California mountains I've been in mud, snow dirt, and on pavement have yet to have to put chains on this truck and except for getting high centered in snow one time I have not been able to get my truck stuck

I had a 2023 XLT Tremor and have a 2025 Lariat AWD Hybrid and there is a big time difference in ride quality.

Tremor was supple, smooth, soaked up the road imperfections. The Hybrid is stiff and unsettled in comparison.

My Lariat AWD Hybrid is supposed to arrive sometime next week and you aren't making me feel good about trading the Tremor for it. 😁

its a downgrade in ride quality for sure but it is far from harsh or unacceptable
