I used butyl rubber tape to seal the areas, Had to remove my cover again today to add a little more at the cab area. Here is a couple of pics. Tried foam sealer but foam is a sponge.

Thanks for letting me know, looks like you also did that area between the lip under the rear window and the side of the bed rail, thats good to know. I am going to order this material on Amazon now.

Also my Diamondback Cover came in, everything looks good. I couldn't install it yesterday due to weather and manpower shortages, it's probably won't be installed until next weekend at this rate but here are some photos...

Some additional photos of it unpacked, the box looked bad but the contents were undamaged. In the 3rd Photo you can see the gasket kit I ordered separately from Diamondback that provides a seal around the tailgate.

I ordered a tailgate seal kit off Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BWV7HJMZ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
We had heavy storms last night. The passenger side tailgate corner was the lowest point. My RC cover has drains in the rails but they were uphill so useless. Water ran across the cover and down the passenger side and over the end of the rail into the tailgate seal which acted like a funnel and routed it into the bed. I have included a picture. I removed the top section of seal to test and see if that allows the water to run over the bump stop and down the tailgate. If you look you can see how it funnels the water to the bed. There was some minor seepage at the cab seal but it is foam and 4" of rain it was saturated. I can't complain about the small amount there.

RC cover? Is that the Rough County Tri-Fold cover?

Reading around here it seems to be very hard to completely seal the Maverick's bed from water and dirt. I had some thoughts on what I would do if I can't get a perfect seal with my Diamondback, for one I was thinking of finding a Rubbermaid container that would be a perfect fit (Width and Height) to take up the front half of the bed for cargo that has to be absolutely dry.

I was also considering one of these for minor, rare leaks at edges of the bed:

https://www.amazon.com/Dri-Dek-Pick...ocphy=9009782&hvtargid=pla-2281435176698&th=1

I figured a rare, minor drip would go between the grid and head for the drains in the bed, keeping the cargo dry. Just a through but I was going to see what this Diamondback cover can do before doing anything else, I figure if it can keep the bed dry when I go through the touchless car wash it should be good.

With that said, I am getting pissed with Ford for accessory availability, I am trying to order that bed divider they make which mounts to the adjustable rail and the damned thing hasn't been in stock since before I picked up my Maverick, the parts counter at the Ford Dealership said maybe later July they will be available. I need that accessory to complete my vision of how I manage/store cargo in the bed once I get my cover on....

Yes, Rough Country. We had storms again last night but I haven't checked under the cover today. Where the cab is there is a bump out in the bed that is for strength but also a channel for the bulkhead drains in the sheet metal. That was the area I was having trouble sealing. I think the butyl rubber has worked. I bought 2 black totes at Sam's club yesterday. They fit side by side in the front of the bed with some room on each side and clear the cover with enough room for a beach chair on top hopefully. I need to test that today. Good luck and report back. Once I get mine as good as I can I will do a review with pictures.
That's good to hear, I should be receiving my butyl rubber sealing material on Saturday, I will be using your photos as a reference where I should be sealing my bed. Also if you wouldn't mind, do you have the dimensions on those totes? I was thinking of doing one big chest style one for myself but I am open to other configurations too.

With that said, I received my Auto-Dimming mirror with Homelink yesterday, I ordered from that dude that makes the custom wiring harnesses that allows me to tie it into the lights by the rear view mirror. Dude went the extra mile by splicing in the mirrors connector to the harness so all I have to do is click the connectors in.

Now that I have all the accessories I plan on installing for now, I hope to have them installed on my Maverick next weekend and hopefully have a post with a full review the following week.

I can't answer that, IDK if my 2024 FML Tremor is better than my 2023 FBS BL, I use both on the daily basis. But my BS BL is been parking since I got the ML Tremor 🙃
I haven't had time to go outside and biking, I'm waiting for this weekend to ride my bikes

I filled the gap in the side rail with the butyl tape. Originally I had used weatherstripping to fill the gap under the cover rails. It acted like a sponge so removed and used tape. Tehn water pooled in the gap that wasn't filled so removed and added tape all the way.
Here's the link for the ones I bought. Sam's has a larger one that would fit crossways between the fender humps. Home Depot ones are basically the same size give or take a 1/4".

This why I bought the Sam's ones.

I hear you man, I put 1600 miles on my Tremor, I forced myself back into using the Fusion so I don't kill this truck with mileage....

Yeah man after almost 1600 miles I have to agree, everyone that rides in my Tremor comments how fantastic the ride quality is with that specific suspension system, I have to agree.

I just put 1600 mi on one way from Fl to Mi UP, interstate and 2 lane etc. average 27-30 mpg , interstate driving 75 - 80 was the lowest mpg, @26.6, as I think it does best mpg 60- 70 was the 30 mpg. That was figuring at every gas stop, ‘23 Tremor 16000 mi. I previously did this trip when I had 5000 mi on trk and 28 was best mpg , but avg overall my avg is 27+ per tank

My trip dash mileage is 29.3 mpg after an easy 350 mi drive onto over the 1600 already put on. At the rate it’s going almost pushing 500 mi per tank driving reasonably?? according to fuel mileage remaining on dash 144

That's fantastic, I just broke 2000 miles on my Maverick Tremor and I was only able to get upwards of 26 MPG briefly, calculating the MPG's manually shows on most tanks I am getting about 24.5 MPG on average. The MPG computer on the Maverick is off by 0.8-1 MPG, showing higher fuel economy than reality. I live in a mountainous region and soon as I start climbing my fuel economy tanks.

So I managed to get the Diamondback cover on this weekend, it was a bear to install, even with 3 people. Not only that but I didn't get the seal compressed enough up by the bulkhead below the window where the cab is, I was able to run my finger tips between the seal and the bulkhead. The instructions said to let the seal compress for 24 hours before doing anything, I tested the forward part and it does leak under the spray of a garden hose. The other issue is the butyal tape placed on those gaps towards the cab, the material got tacky under the heat and started sticking to the seal on the Diamondback. I tried to smooth it out but I may end up removing some so it won't interfere with the seal as much.

So I am going to contact Diamondback and see what they suggest, they make a bulkhead seal for some trucks but said the Maverick doesn't need it. I am also going to try to compress the seal with my co-workers when I get a chance again next week to see if I can improve it, its obviously less compressed than the rear portion of the seal. Worse case, I may take it to a place that installs tonneau covers if I can't get it adjusted to my liking, hopefully it doesn't come to that.

Speaking of, the rear portion of the cover is so tightly compressed that I cannot open the tailgate without opening the cover. I was hoping I could open the tail gate with the cover closed but perhaps its not designed to do that? Other than that, the cover locks perfectly and is tightly secured.

I also didn't have a chance to put on the tailgate seal, between the rain (Which I got caught in installing the cover) and all the time it took to get the cover on/adjusted, I ran out of time. The only other accessory I managed to get on this weekend was the bug guard. That work out nicely as least. I was hoping to get all my accessories installed this weekend but it didn't work out and it will probably be another week or two until its all done due to my work schedule.

Here are some photos tho....

Cover looks good. Not sure the center hinge would work for me but if I was still doing service work it would be great to access tools. And yes the butyl gets sticky in the heat. After vacation when I have some time I think I will replace the butyl with silicone sealant.
For me, the plan is to turn the bed into two separate trunks once I get that bed divider from Ford. I may keep one side unlocked for quick access and the other locked to do secure storage. I may also consider replacing the butyl with silicone, that will also come off clean if for some reason I can't find a balance between having the butyl provide adequate sealing and being so thick it pulls apart under heat. Please keep us informed on the silicone.

I will probably hold off on a full review on my Diamondback until I have these issues resolved.
