Can a person weighing 150 pounds stand on it without damage to the cover?
I'd doubt it and don't think you'll find someone to test that for you...as far as I recall most of the descriptions for these covers indicate a load capacity when that load is evenly spread across it (think sheets of plywood, not that it makes sense to put plywood on top of a tonneau) - not in a single spot like someone standing on it.

I'm still kind of torn between the two as well. I really like the roll-up, but wonder how long the vinyl covering would last in the sun. I have a hard folding on my Silverado and it has lasted 14+ years...shows some signs of age ( but so do I and my Silverado 😉), but still functional. Kind of doubt the roll-up would last that long.

I'm switching from the roll up to the trip-fold. And now seeing the pics of the roll up actually rolled up I'm glad.

For what reason? The tri-fold completely covers the rear window unless you remove it entirely - you can't only partially unfold it (no way to secure it), so the options are fully closed, folded and completely blocking driver view, or remove. For the roll-up you have closed, partial blocked view, or remove (which is I think comparatively easier with the roll-ups - the sentry CT I have is removed with 2 locking sliders).

Possibly…but I’m not going to be the first one to try it. 😎

All kidding aside, I don’t think it would fare very well with that much weight on it concentrated in one spot.

I went with a 2x8, and it's cut at about 53.25". I started a bit long and then trimmed it a little at a time as I fit it in with the foam. The foam is just 1/2" pipe insulation.
Awesome, thank you…

Our factory fold-up tonneau took only a week to get to the dealer, and it's been installed now. It looks great. The dealer waved us off of the roll-up, saying they were hard to come by (I wanted the fold-up anyway).
The cover was ordered separately from your truck?

I would like to know how long they would hold up compared to the Hard Tri-fold too. Still torn though I have my order with Hard Roll Up at the moment. Thinking of changing it to Hard tri-fold since I still haven't received my ViN. Wondering how durability is compared to Hard Tri-fold

It also has the Ford emblem on rear driver’s side.

Is it me or does your rollup seem smaller in hight when rolled up than the pic of the one installed on the black Maverick? I like that it seems to cover less of the back sliding window. Seems to be different in that one has Ford logo on left rear and the black Maverick does not. Wondering if Ford did a design change on the rollups at some point.
Any thoughts on that

The Ford Rev Roll-up also has that felt on each side that heat has been known to cause it to slowly come off. It just loses it ability to stick to the aluminum frame. There is a new version that has fixed this issue, but it would need to be purchased fro BakFlip. I opted to go with the BakFlip Tri-fold having seen them both I feel it will hold up long term much better.

It’s my belief that he did not roll his cover as tightly and he removed the Ford emblem.

What is more durable and better longevity wise? The Hard Roll Up or Hard Tri-Fold?

Yeah -- We bought a Maverick off the lot, then ordered a spray-on liner, the cover and even a back-up sensor as aftermarket accessories. Dealer sent the truck to a Line-X franchise for the bed liner, then ordered the cover and the sensor parts and put them in when they arrived.
