I saw a fold up tonneau on an XL yesterday at Jacky Jones Ford in Sweetwater Tennessee. I know it was shipped that way from the factory because I saw it on the window sticker, so they are shipping some.

Hard covers are nice BUT I don't want to spend 1000/1200 have had many soft covers and they do the job, thinking of going with a tri fold am not worried about losing bed space, looked at the ford tri fold I like the ford emblem but have not seen any reviews and don't know who makes it. We know who make the roll up and keep reading it's too short, who makes the ford tri-fold for 569.00. anybody know??? guys say they don't need a cover let me say this you will get much better gas mileage if you put even a cheap cover on your truck bed, that's a fact.

Yea, a grand for a hard cover is a bit much, so I went with the Extang Trifecta 2.0 which looks very close to the optioned Ford one. I paid $368. I'm happy with the quality, and it doesn't sit too high when folded.

I'm still kind of torn between the two as well. I really like the roll-up, but wonder how long the vinyl covering would last in the sun. I have a hard folding on my Silverado and it has lasted 14+ years...shows some signs of age ( but so do I and my Silverado 😉), but still functional. Kind of doubt the roll-up would last that long.
I've had a soft rolling vinyl on my Ranger since 2010 and it's still in fantastic condition, other than being a bit faded. The Velcro that runs the length of the sides doesn't hold the way it used to (worn out/dirty) so it flaps a little bit at higher speeds, but it's still tight when secured and pliable when rolling. It spent the first six or seven years parked outside all year round through Canadian winters, so I would really have no issue going with another one.

It's the perfect length. No leaks or problems yet. I was also looking at the signature model to the canvas type material but I read that it's harder to maintain and will fade faster than the vinyl. The best price I found was at tonneaucoversworld.

Ordered my hybrid truck in October. No Truck yet. No surprise there.

Ordered soft roll-up cover from local Ford dealer in November, got it in two weeks. It's still in the box. Nice box tho...

Tick... tick... tick...

Tonneaucoversworld. I just checked and it's up, but still less than what ford wants for similar.

Seem to remember that the soft trifold from Ford is an Advantage Torza Top. That’s what’s coming on my Maverick, which is in transit.

No noticeable leaks, even after a pressure wash. You will notice flapping while going down the road, but that's normal for the soft tops. I was also eyeing the signature. Easy to install. I had to cut about 1/8th inch of plastic from the front two anchor points, to make metal on metal contact but the rear connections are fine, no cutting needed.

Factory installed hard tri-fold. July AWD order, that’s probably why I got all my accessories including the tonneau, SIBL, CP360, etc.

The BAK hard rollup (Ford or direct from BAK) seems like what would work for me.

Will the Ford factory tonneau cover work with any bed extender (Ford or other)?
