I agree that’s how I believe it would work, or I would do a credit card chargeback as price isn’t as agreed upon.
It depends on how the purchase contract is worded. They can easily word it for their benefit

I signed a bunch of e documents and they took 500 non refundable deposit. I like to think soemthing was agreed binding

but correct mainly dora strikes as main document w my license and signature
I ordered 2 Broncos and 2 Mavericks in 2021 and bought all four in 2022, from 2 different Ford dealerships. One of those dealerships uses e-sign for DORA.

You should have electronic copies of it emailed to you. Might review that stuff to see if you have anything marked as Sales Agreement or something close to that, which line-items the vehicle, accessories and aftermarket parts, extended warranty, etc. If you don't have that, and you just have DORA with some hand-written notes on it about the add-on stuff, then that's probably not binding.

I’m not there yet but one day.

Do you or anyone here think I should pay mortgage off next month? Approx 2-3 months before I grab vehicle? Credit karma sesame etc all says I have 810-825 score. I’d hate to lose 50 points overnight paying it off right before I get a loan for this maverick.
And hence why I hate the credit score ... or as Ramsey would say, the "I love debt score" or something like that. The credit score is supposed to tell the lender how likely you'll be to pay off a debt. Pay off a mortgage, and you're dinged? Didn't you just prove you can pay off debts ... even the largest one that most people will ever have? How stupid is that?

But, my credit score is in the 800s and I payed off my mortgage 10 years ago and have had no other loans in an even longer period of time. To keep it high, I weekly pay my credit card so that the balance is always really low.

However, since current auto loans are greater than, for example, cd rates, I just payed in cash. When considering a certified used Honda recently they had 1.5% loans for them ... that I knew I could make easily money over a 3 year loan.

I dont care about politics, tbh. my life doesn't change either way whoever in charge. I work for my money and I buy my products, this is only directly affecting me because I placed an order lol so yeah. if it does happen and im price protected, thats cool/good. sucks for people who dont pay in time.

but this is the world we are going into. we are being encouraged to invest, and not hold money, thats for sure. people who hold money are losing out bad. inflation is brutal.

myself included, I lost out gambling on investments, so I have been paying off my house. if I paid all the money towards house into stocks, id be up 10x more. but whatever.

oh yeah, im just 1.5 months of payments from paying my house off!!! 8 years into my 30 year loan.
Know as transfer of money, middle class to the upper classes.

The point is to get people to buy 'Made in America'.
I would call It a victory if the Tariff forced
Ford to move all manufacturing back inside the 48 states
and employ American workers.
All Ford would have to do Is factor in a greater cost of labor.
I doubt that would raise the price more than 10 to 12%
BUT My Ford's would be American Made and I'd gladly pay more for that !

Now If we could get Ford to make Its own parts, Like Elon did with Tesla.
He made so much money that he is now paving the way to build Star Ships at a rate of 100 per month.
His Cyber truck plant Is In Texas. Not Mexico.
Betcha no body saw that coming.
To my understanding, you cannot buy a vehicle made entirely in America. There are, what, 300+ parts coming from everywhere? It should have started decades ago building in this country, but progress wins over.

Trump signed a stack of executive orders. This was in the news. TARIFFS was one of them. This is not speculation.
The details of the implementation have not been presented. Executive orders are not actually commandments from God. Some of them are completely toothless and are for show only.

id feel better having it gone, but don’t want to get dinged with higher interest rate

What would you all do? Pay off or pay down to like 2-3 more mortgage payments so score stays same I read score can drop full 50 points paying off your home
The high credit score is a game. It's best to keep at least two loans going at all times. Keep balances on credit cards below 20-25% of credit line. Some cards which have pay over time plans, whether used or not, may be viewed as loans particularly if balance increases month to month. I have 2% cash back card ($1600+/year) which I pay utilities insurance etc on charges that do not have a CC convenience fee. Some months I pay several payments weekly depending on balance. I still owe 25 payments at 2.25% on my 2022 Maverick Hybrid but getting 4% to unbelievable apr on some stocks which have net cost after reduction of prior dividends less than 20% of current market value. (Two have negative adjusted cost one of which is paying about 23% return on market value not the adjusted negative cost). (If these stocks go belly up and I write off purchase cost how do I calculate ROI?).

Believe what you want. The president can implement tariffs without Congress. He did it the last time. We don't know the details but it is coming. He can do this all by himself

granger said im price protected. I have no reason to doubt them, I signed a document with the price I agreed upon and 500 deposit.

I heard he was 'thinking about 25% feb 1" where did you get feb 25?
That’s not a guarantee, I had two increases while waiting and upon delivery it was pay the difference or it will be sold to someone else

Pay it off! And, pay off any and all loans if doable! Don't worry about credit score, because you will have no need for credit. Wife and I concentrated hard on paying off all debt in our late 40's. We both had pretty good paying jobs, so it helped. Kids were just getting out of the house, which was good as they were some EATING MACHINES! Ha. We were debt free by 53 years old and retired at 59. To keep credit score high, we got Costco Visa card and charge all our groceries and anything else we can, including recurring charges, gasoline, utility bills, whatever. This will AMAZE most people. With zero debt and putting costs of things you need and want, that Costco Visa is sometimes over $2K a month! It really lets you know where your money goes! But the good thing is, those costs are so easy to pay when you owe nothing and paying it off each month and you pay zero interest. You also get a cash back each year, I think it is 1-3%. Maxes out about $900. dollars a year. Another point is, debt free allows YOU to be in charge and in addition your stress level is, well, non-existent. We travel around the world on occasion or take our motor home and disappear for weeks at a time and still have no debt, no worries. It is rough getting there for those in 40's or 50's but is a choice we have never regretted. Kids are 48 and 45, both recently debt free also. Cash is good. Also, get a trust and a will. I don't like that look kids, grandkids, and great grandkids give us! Like they are licking their chops or something! Hahaha, just kidding, but do get that trust and will! Travel on and good luck!
