Ive never had one single problem with the 4 Focuses Ive bought that were assembled at the Hermisillo plant. My 2022 Bronco had engine out operation at 34k miles, my 2015 Mustang GT had paint falling off at 15k miles etc.

Hit a nerve.
I have 2 Ford Focus cars made in Mexico.
The plastic thermostat housing has exploded several times. Finally bought aluminum aftermarket housings to fix it.
Otherwise they have been the best cars I have ever owned...and approaching 250000 miles on each.

TARIFFS will likely have effect on any parts you will need. It isn't just Mavericks. ALL OEMs have been building vehicles in Mexico and Canada and many parts of vehicles built here also are using parts made in Mexico and Canada.

same, I just have to argue my 500 dollar non refundable deposit back if it happened, which I dont believe will since granger has told me several times, price protected. they dont see any issues. I think it'll be people who buy after tariffs go into effect

its possible the government itself would honor orders from before tariffs? like ford/gov agreement to not screw over customers- just wishful thinking.

They will have to honor any purchase contracts before the TARIFFS take effect. If they don't, you have grounds to get your deposit back

You are price protected at the price you signed up for. I was on our new 2025 when an increase was instated recently.

They will have to honor any purchase contracts before the TARIFFS take effect. If they don't, you have grounds to get your deposit back

I agree that’s how I believe it would work, or I would do a credit card chargeback as price isn’t as agreed upon.

So Ford builds a Maverick in Mexico and the manufacturer suggested retail price is 30,000 so now with the 25% tariff that same vehicle the MSRP would be 37,000 or 37,500? Or does the tariff only count towards the cost to build the vehicle? I mean obviously no matter what the answer is, the consumer is going to be stuck paying.

do what now? a signed dealer order retail agreement (DORA), the white printed page with your order # that a lot of people post pics of, is not actually a sales contract.

did you actually sign some kind of binding sales contract? if you did then you're probably good, but I'd want to see it to be sure. my local Ford dealerships will not contract a sale until the vehicle is in their possession and able to be sold. in other words, no presales, and DORA is not a contract.

My Mavericks have far better build quality than my Broncos from MAP. Mexicans and Canadians make great vehicles.

This site is to laggy for me sometimes and I can't even type a response. TARIFFS are paid 100% by the importer of the product, which in this case will be Ford. They can 1: Absorb the tariffs and eat the cost in their profit margin, 2: Pass the cost of the tariff along to the buyer, 3: Cut costs to absorb the tariff, or 3: a combination of all the above.

I signed a bunch of e documents and they took 500 non refundable deposit. I like to think soemthing was agreed binding

but correct mainly dora strikes as main document w my license and signature
