There are a lot of Maverick owners in & around my tiny tourist town. When I see a local in their Maverick, I usually give them the almost-extinct Ozarks Hello (raised index finger of driving hand).

Not non-locals though, who would probably mistake it for a f/u.

I'm sure this subject has been discussed in other threads, but I haven't been able to locate one. I've noticed that as you see more Mavericks on the road now, the drivers are less likely to wave like they did two years ago when I took delivery of my '23 Lariat. I still wave, but more often than not the other drivers are either staring straight ahead or don't acknowledge.
That's a jeep owner thing, mavericks are not jeeps.i am not waving to other maverick owners even if they wave first.whats next the ducks too?or miniature maverick horses?

I usually say, "hey, love your Maverick" but nobody ever replies. Don't know why?

If I’m driving something oddball/rare/unique, like my old VW pickup, where you‘d see another one on the road almost never, I’d likely wave. However, this drives me nuts when riding my motorcycle, passing another one every 2 minutes. It’s like, yep, you and half the people in my neighborhood have bikes, woo-hoo, nothing special. Kind of fun with a rare vehicle, but I’m not waving to someone every 30 seconds on the way to Home Depot or Target.

I might have waved early on when Mavericks were unusual to see on the road, but at this point I see 20 of them a day. It would be like waving to everyone I saw driving a Nissan Altima. But yeah, if I owned a 1967 Corvette, and saw another one while driving it, I’ll play along and wave.

No waves given, no waves received.

Cringe , reminds me of the Jeep ducking or whatever they call it.

Met another Mav at the HD parking lot; we got in to a long conversation. We actually have a twin around the corner - same color, same tonneau - I found out when we were parked side by side at the library.
some has posted about leaving little ponies on the windshield (I think it was ponies). Maybe we should get extra Mav Club decals and share when we see another.

When I was 19 and an apprentice carpenter,I had a Ford Courier mini truck because I couldn't Afford a full sized truck and had to carry my tools. After a few years I got a new 1979 4 by F150 and lifted it. I then purchased a Mazda B2200 mini truck to commute in.

Never got waves at mini me's. I did get jealous looks and comments about being so young with a cool lifted wheeler. Still have a full size GMC today. Again the little hybrid is for daily driving instead of a car. Who knew I'd be special and cool!
My wife and I bought a '78 Courier new. Not a good experience. The Mazda engine for that MY (1.8L IIRC) had valve train issues, and we didn't keep it long.

My first designated tool carrier was a '67 Plymouth station wagon with the indestructible Slant 6 engine. It was originally owned by the US Soil Conservation Service, who had replaced the back seat with a plywood platform. I bought it used for $600, and it was a very serviceable vehicle for a young carpenter. Never got a wave when driving that car, only the occasional contemptuous smirk.
