Nope, I do not wave at other Mavericks, but I do point my finger and laugh when I see a Santa Cruz. :cwl:
I will have to do that, from Now On....

Yes, no one waves back...
Good Thing though! I see more of them on the Road...
And If I was "bug punched" everytime I see one..
I'd have a Broken Arm..
🤣

I had a high school buddy - big dude. Whenever he saw a car with a headlight out he would yell "padoodle" (or something like that) and punch whoever was closest to him in the arm. We all tried to keep a sharp eye out so we could (literally) beat him to the punch!

We do a "points" game with my son when driving, with our vehicles and previous ones. Maverick is 3 points, Jeep Wrangler is 1, Tesla is 2... And then finding the furthest license plate away.

But I'm rural upper Midwest, everyone gets the two-finger wave, and if I see a Mav, they get 3 or more they get a full hand

If I happen to roll through Rochester I'll keep my eyes open for ya!
Sounds good! Probably the only way I’ll ever get a wave back 😄

Back in 22 I would be lucky to see a Maverick once a week, But it was always white and delivering something, now I see a few a day. I do remember the days when people would jump out of cars at lights to take a photo or stop me and ask how I like it..

I've only had mine a couple months, so it's a novelty me, and an novelty to see others on the road, so I've been waving when I see other Mavericks. Nobody has waved back yet. The first guy I waved at was picking his nose. Oh well.
Caught me, I really was waving.

Only had my Mav about 5 weeks now. They're still not very popular around here I guess. I've only seen 1 on the road and 2 in a parking lot. The guy on the road didn't wave back, either.

I consider the wave a Jeep thing.
When I was 19 and an apprentice carpenter,I had a Ford Courier mini truck because I couldn't Afford a full sized truck and had to carry my tools. After a few years I got a new 1979 4 by F150 and lifted it. I then purchased a Mazda B2200 mini truck to commute in.

Never got waves at mini me's. I did get jealous looks and comments about being so young with a cool lifted wheeler. Still have a full size GMC today. Again the little hybrid is for daily driving instead of a car. Who knew I'd be special and cool!

Don't know about that... I've heard the Jeep folks have moved on... to DUCKS!
Yep...Jeep people duck each other with little rubber ducks they leave on others' Jeeps.

Aside from motorcycles being the king of waves, there are only a few vehicles out there were waving is very common. Jeep is the biggest. And it's also popular with Subaru WRX's. There's probably a couple others I'm not aware of.

Otherwise, aside from a few exceptions like that, waving seems to be more popular for a newer, rarer, or niche vehicle, and then trends off as they get more common. Also figure, there's a boatload of folks driving that don't frequent forums and what not, and are likely less of an "enthusiast" than the average user you find here. It's not to say that they don't like their vehicle, but often they don't care as much about vehicles in general.

We have an Outback that we love. But I couldn't imagine waving to every Outback I saw on the road, would likely cramp up in minutes.
