Having receiving my XLT EB FWD 3 days ago after 16-month wait I wanted to share my opinion on ride quality and include some observations based on dimensions. My wife drives a 2020 Toyota RAV 4 XLE Hybrid we bought new and when parking the 2023 Maverick inside the garage next to her RAV 4, I was visually comparing their size. The Mav was the longer (about 19") of the two, has a longer(about 15") wheelbase, is wider (about 4" of body) than the RAV but about the same height (Mav +1.5") according to spec lists. Both are unibody.
The Mav rides the road a bit more truck-like with firmer suspension and less body roll and the extra wheelbase makes the ride noticeably less abrupt. I have more seat time in the RAV on the winding KY country roads where I live and have driven out of state on highways as far as the FL Keys. We are planning to drive the Mav down to south FL to catch a cruise ship and I was wondering if someone cared to share their experience on the Maverick's highway ride?
BTW, I've not checked the cabin sound level yet but expect it to be low to mid 70's. Comparing to a vehicle costing $10K more, I'm impressed with the Mav - not to share with my wife.
