Since I have some experience now with both manufacturers I am going to post my findings so far. I am not knocking or praising one over the other, simply a comparison for everyone. I have another thread about the other stuff. My truck is a 2023 XLT FX4 AWD with everything else being stock.

I started with the Eibach Pro kit and like others had the knock/thud/clunk noise in the front no matter what. After driving it for a while I feel like my installer and I determined that the spring rate was wrong and it had the progressive coils in the wrong location. I am still not convinced that is where the noise was coming from, but maybe? The ride on the Eibach's was actually quite nice I must say. Stock like ride until you threw in some bumps and crappy roads, then the ride was not as great but livable for a lowered truck. Not harsh even on the harshest roads. I only bottomed out once and that was on a bridge with a real sharp entrance and exit. But, I never felt like the truck handled like a lowered vehicle. I still experienced the same body roll as before when I was stock.

Now the H&R Super Sports, these are somewhat stiffer and the ride isn't as nice. It's not bad, but it isn't as nice to me. It does handle better and is flatter in the curves than the Eibach's though. But it isn't floaty feeling like it was before. I haven't bottomed out the H&R's over the same bridge I did with the Eibach's though. Which kind of tells me what we thought all along about the spring rate. I can't confirm any actual numbers, but seat of the pants feel tells me the spring rate is higher on the HRs.

Keep in mind I had about 1100 miles on the Eibach's and only about 150 on the H&R's so they are still breaking in I am sure. I haven't take any measurements with the HRs yet, but I will once they settle in a lil more and post the comparison to the Eibach's. I am not saying I would have switched if I didn't have issues with the noises, because I probably wouldn't. I have always had good luck with Eibach and they will get this figured out I am sure. So far I am happy that my truck is still lowered and has no noises to speak of yet. I hope my experience can help others.

Thanks for all the info you have shared on the issues you encountered.
I guess I will continue waiting to lower my Maverick.

It doesn't look terrible at stock height, but man I love them lowered with an "ST" look.

No, you just got lucky. There are MANY people who encounter this sort of thing with their Eibach's. I was hoping I would be one of the lucky ones but it didn't work out for me. Not saying it won't/can't happen with the HRs but for me it hasn't so far.

I think there's a bad batch. I have not seen Eibach acknowledge this.

I have a set waiting to be installed and I'm definitely nervous about any noise. :/

Damn. I bought Eibachs 4 months ago. Have not had the time to do the install. Now I'm concerned. I bought the sport lowering springs for my AWD

I have heard of guys that are using impact tools to take the stabilizer bar link off. Also if you are getting a thump or popping when you are going over small obstacles like speed bumps, it could be the stabilizer link bar or link bar ball joint. Those are low-friction connections with low breakaway torque and can be damaged easily if you don't use the Torx wrench to hold the ball joint while removing the retaining nut.

No impact or air tools were used on mine.

I see you have had the Eibach and h&r and now back to Eibach . I’m currently having a clunk with a set of super sport springs and am considering the new version of the Eibach’s. Do you have any numbers for comparison on height difference ? I’m happy with how my truck sits height wise and didn’t want to change that too much. But would also like this clunk to go away. Lol

I seen another member on here post about longer sway bar end links that not only solved his HR springs “clunk” noises but softened the harsh ride. As far as the height measurement they are pretty close & both look 👍

My truck sat at the same height on all 3 sets of springs. I took measurements on level ground to confirm. I don't remember what that measurement was but I do remember they were all the same. I had more than a clunk with the HR springs, it honestly sounded like coil bind at times but I can't say 100% for sure. I did notice quite a bit of wear on the HR's after they were taken out.

Running minimal preload allows the spring to unseat, and knock around/ make noise which is likely what's happening. Also worth noting it looks like Eibach is doing a sale next week.
