Looking at this I wonder how my Mav can be built with a vin over 100k. Somethings fishy.

Fleet orders would be my guess.

61,059 produced year to date, plus the 25,880 produced during 2021, so they have produced a total of 86,939 of the 100k+ VINs issued. So they need ~10k-12k per month for Sept & Oct (plus however far production strays into November). Of note, the Bronco Sport production for August was massive relative to the volume of Mavericks.

I believe they had forecast about 4000 builds for August, so they came well short of that, after being shutdown over half of July. There is no way they will build 10,000+ each for September and October. If they do, it would be a first for hitting five figures in any month. The logic still alludes me as to how this will not have major, major implications for subsequent 2023 orders after the 2022 rollovers are "prioritized". If 87,000 +/- have been produced as 22's and there are, conservatively, 110,000 orders (more likely 120,000+), at least 10,000 (more likely 20,000) will rollover after mid-November 2022 production ends. Unless, of course, they keep pushing back the start of the 2023 model year. This can't happen either since it has ripple effects. The only solution for Ford - you guessed it - cut off new orders months ahead of when they expect to. They've screwed up at least twice already - under-estimation of market demand and not stopping 22 orders sooner. Make it 3 for being over-optimistic about the supply chain situation and not informing their customers of such (OK, that's 4 - I'll stop there). If Long-McArthur Ford has at least 500 orders waiting to be entered, demand has only increased.

If the forecast was to build 4K in August then they exceeded their goal.
Sales are down in August due to only 2 weeks of production in July.

With as many Bronco Sports as Hermosillo is cranking out, I have to believe if Ford could build more Mavericks, they would  That plant certainly has the capacity. They've almost built 100k Bronco Sports this year already, is there really that much demand for the sports? I'd think those would start showing up on lots as dealer stock pretty soon, no way are there more outstanding retail orders for BS than the Maverick.
