Well I need to wake up and smell the roses time is passing me by sorry for old informationYes that is true I have called K&N direct and they have none was told to keep checking back but there was a post for a ego filter from one that from another Ford vehicle for A K&N swap may one for Hybrid ??
Their site shows “in stock” as of a few minutes ago.Yes that is true I have called K&N direct and they have none was told to keep checking back but there was a post for a ego filter from one that from another Ford vehicle for A K&N swap may one for Hybrid ??
I agree. I mean what is so special about the K&N filter at $75 vs the Ford recommended FA-1948 that costs $22$75 is ridiculous. That's the most expensive K&N drop-in I've ever seen. Maverick tax??? I paid like $40 for the one in my Explorer ST.
Same here. I had a K&N in my Wrangler for years and it was just a pain in the ass. Think I actually cleaned it twice before I threw it away. What percentage of people do you recon properly maintain their K&N filters? Maaaybe 20%? That’s why I don’t use them. I’m too lazy lol
Yep. And it's $75.00 PLUS shipping. Outrageous. You pay $75, Plus your motor innards are slowly being sandblasted. IMO YMMV
30,000 could be a long time, and if you live in a polluted area the filter will definitely clog before that. I still think every 10,000 or once a year is the best bet.I agree. I mean what is so special about the K&N filter at $75 vs the Ford recommended FA-1948 that costs $22
Also why is it even necessary to change the filter now as Ford recommends changing at 30,000 miles which for me is 5 years of driving.
