There should be ones available through Ford. One of the preproduction trucks decked out in aftermarket parts was spotted with chrome ones and they'll like have "black platinum" versions available as well.

Will do. I suspect they will be a big seller. Maybe FORD will develop them as an accessory, like the RANGER tailgate stickers.

I'm going with hi-viz like they use on first responder vehicles. The color I'll probably use is what I put on my Harley. It looks dark gray/black until light hits it then it's a brilliant white!

@Delzona do you know if you can you get a different daytime color? I'm not sure what the gray would look like on the Alto Blue. I'm color blind so the wife is suggesting a red and then when light hits it the brilliant white. Not sure about the red as I was only showing it as an example. I'm just not sure what color would go better with the dark blue in daylight.

Ok got it. He said there different colors including a couple of different shades of blue. You could go with a blue if you wanted to go with a counter color your Alto Blue or another color, like red, orange, yellow, gold, white to make the lettering really pop! I've actually seen Alto Blue in person, it was the color of the trainer that came to Tucson, and it is a dark blue, in fact I thought the truck was black when I first saw it sitting in the shade. So if any light color is going to really "pop" or if you go black lettering it won't be as noticeable during the day, but will show up at night for sure!
He said that biggest thing for him is getting the font correct. So to help him, myself and anyone else that may want vinyl lettering for their tailgate, I went ahead and ordered the polished stainless steel letters (and a couple of other things) from the Ford Accessory website. This way he'll have the exact letter size to make the vinyl letters. I'll just sell them off once he's done making a template. Once I have the lettering I'll send them to him and that way he can make a set and figure out cost. I'm also going to have him do some graphics for me once I figure out what I want.

I've ordered a set of the polished stainless steel letter. I'm sending them to my buddy to as a template to make hi-viz vinyl lettering for my truck. I'm going to have him do the same as he did for my Harley. It's a dark gray, but when the light hits it, the vinyl really shines! The cool think is that he can do other colors too. It's the same stuff they use on First Responder emergency vehicles.
So when someone comes up behind me at night they'll know there's a Maverick in front of them!!
