My 2023 Lariat Hybrid arrived back in late March, have 4k miles on her, and no complaints. Recently moved and full size couch was no problem! (with good ratchet tie downs). The B&O stereo is excellent.

She towed a 1500 lb. camper on a 1,000 mile trip, no issues at all, gas mileage was half, about 18 mpg through the mountains, which is still much better than the Tacoma was. I have tips on how to wire the lights, and the brakes, let me know if interested and I'll post them.

It's insane to me how people say the maverick isn't a real truck when it's a better truck than most new ones on sale. A major selling point for the maverick was how indestructible the Ford engineers made it. Article after article of how they put it through like 16 million miles of intense durability testing. Most reports indicate the hybrid and Ecoboost offer well above average durability/quality.

Yet I always see haters saying how the maverick isn't a real truck, or how it isn't capable, or built to last, all lies from people who have to live delusionally to justify paying 15k more to get a Tacoma with half the fuel economy and worse reliability scores according to multiple outlets.

I’m very curious about your trailer brake controller as well, while technically not required for my 1,500 pound trailer I’d still like a safety net, particularly when I travel through the Rockies this fall.
No need with 1500 pounds. If you have a hybrid you won't feel it, and the Ecoboost fwd and AWD are smooth with 2000. The Tremor pulls 2000 like nothing, up and down hills. Now if you're pulling a 1500 wall you may have a bit of sway, but the weight will be just fine 🙂 👌🏽.

I pulled our 1280 pound tent trailer with 1400 pounds of payload 750 miles up and some good grades no issues. We got 27.6 MPG using the pump and mileage using our Hybrid XL.

Good luck. 👍🏽

Heck I have made the little 2.0 ecoboost in my maverick work and hauled a old superduty bed with mine never had any issues with it towing.

Would love to know about wiring and trailer brakes too. I have the standard 4-pin setup but not sure how to get it wired for 7-pin that handles the brakes.
For the standard 4-pin setup, you can purchase a "quick connect" that adapts the 4-pin to a 7-pin. However, no brakes or 12 volt to charge a battery in the trailer but you do have blinkers and brake lights. I'm interested in the 7-pin setup for the Hybrid ... more for the charging the 12 volt battery while driving.

I did just that, used a 7 pin adapter, but then added a wireless brake controller, and +12VDC for the brakes, from the Mav's bed. Zero truck alterations required. I'm going to post some pictures, part numbers, and lessons learned this weekend to this thread.
