I did just that, used a 7 pin adapter, but then added a wireless brake controller, and +12VDC for the brakes, from the Mav's bed. Zero truck alterations required. I'm going to post some pictures, part numbers, and lessons learned this weekend to this thread.

My Tacoma has Adaptive Cruise, and I can't believe I ever drove on the highway without it. Trading it in for a Cyber Orange Hybrid Lariat, just placed my order yesterday :) Totally stoked!
