Lariat, because ford set the Packages up to be rigged for you to buy a Lariat, to get most of what comes in other vehicles these days.

Never having a push start, why is that so special?
It just is, now. Kinda hard to explain.
The car I have now came with it, I almost never bought it because it had it but it wasn’t an option so begrudgingly I bought it and figured I could suffer through it.
A week later I was a convert. Something so liberating that I can just open a door and drive away with no obstructions, no digging in my pocket. I’m so sold on the convenience that it bugs me to have to use a key to get in my house (number pads are as much a PITA as a key).
So for me they are mandatory, now as much as AWD (really like Jeep’s Trailhawk low range, but not a disqualifier), a heated steering wheel, heated seats, A/C and cruise control.

Someone earlier hit an old guy chord and said “Ginger or Maryanne”…I am Maryanne all day.
LOL! Maryanne for sure. But only because she looks like funfunfun and ginger looks like work. Lariat because I want less work and more funfunfun. It is more expensive. 15 years ago I would've been happy with an XLT! Now I can handle better.

I also never had the push-start or cared for it until it came on my current Rav4. Now, I don't wan to go back. It does get annoying sometimes and accidentally leave the car running because I turned off the radio, but not the car(don't ask). It also took a bit to figure out consistently how to turn on the radio and roll windows without turning the car on. I'm getting the Lariat Lux with the remote start so that will probably start a whole new can of worms.

Any idea how he got the speed in the center at 1:59? Mine is always off to the side.
If that’s a Lariat trim the speed moves from the center to an offset position to the right when you activate the Active Cruise. It displays the Active Cruise settin (activation distance lines and phantom vehicle image when one is within range). It recenters the digital speed odometer when cruise is disengaged.

• Desert Brown interior with ActiveX™ seating
• 8-way power driver and 6-way manual
passenger front seats
• Leather-wrapped steering wheel
• Intelligent Access with Push-Button Start
• 6.5" LCD cluster screen
• Sound-deadening windshield
• Ice Blue ambient lighting (center console, front
footwells and door handle pockets)
• Dual-zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control
• Two rear USB ports
• Power sliding rear window
• Driver seatback map pockets
• One touch up/down front and rear windows
• Dual illuminated visor mirrors

- I love the look of the Lariat interior vs the XLT. Huge difference!
- Believe it or not the Sound-deadening windshield is high on my list as the Maverick hoods do not do a great job of blocking engine noise.
- In my test drive of the XLT I found I was sitting way too low. I don't believe up and down is an option in manual seating so the power seats were a must.
- The power sliding rear window may seem silly to some but it's great for adjusting air flow from front open windows without causing the annoying vibration
- All other additions are nice too.

I've had heated seating in my prior two cars and being located in New England you would think I would like it. I HATE THEM. NEVER AGAIN!

Lariat. First few times through the build process I just couldn't get into the interior colors on the XL and XLT. Wasn't a fan of the orange accents. I also have a 60 mile commute (each way) so creature comforts and all of the safety features on the Lariat sealed the deal.

I bought an Ecosport with Pushbutton start. At first, I thought it was a useless gimick. By the end of the 1st day I was sold. It's not just the pushbutton start, but being able to unlock the doors without having to dig the keys out of my pocket that made it such a big deal. I have decided to wait on ordering a Maverick until next year, hoping that this will be an option on the XLT.

I have push button on my current vehicle and hate it. Had the car almost 7 years. Can't count the number of times I forgot to turn the engine off - it's quiet and if it's noisy out and I'm in a hurry, look out. Also had the battery in the fob die and make it impossible for me to start the car. I wish you could go back to a plain old key. Last car I had with a regular key I ground all the plastic off it so it would sit flat in my pocket. Best the hell out of lugging around a gigantic fob. Heaven.

Yep. Took my Colorado work truck on vacation instead of my wife's luxury SUV as I didn't want to fool with all the "stuff".
And no, not intimidated by technology, life-long career. Just like getting away from it in my leisure.

Will keep my hybrid lariat Maverick for at least 10 years until an electric version with 500 miles or similar is available and the infrastructure to support electric vehicles is well established.

The longer it takes to arrive the more I have saved up for it. Almost 1/2 way there to fully paying it off.

Since I’m keeping it for so long I want all the bells and whistles.

The features that come with the various trim levels are good for the first year of a new model. In the coming years, they can add other features as standard, making them "product enhancements". You know, like in a couple of years cruise control will be standard equipment on all levels, because it makes so much sense. Also push button start. Once they are standardized the additional cost of production would be minimal.
I'm sure the 2028 Maverick will be a different animal than my 2022 XLT.
