Was reading my window sticker on the XLT FX4 non-lux and it mentions one touch down drivers window. Mine does not do that. Can anyone confirm that they have a one touch power down drivers window on their XLT non lux

Not a Maverick, but the one-touch didn't work on my FiST when it was brand new... took it to the dealer and they "set" it. I'm assuming it's similar for the Maverick, but at least on the FiST they to be "set" which was apparently overlooked down in Hermosillo.

Yes my Maverick XLT (non lux) does have one-touch power down on the driver's window.

Yes my XLT FX4 non-lux has 1 touch down on drivers side window - but you do have to push it a little harder than my focus did

You can try programming the 'limits' by holding the button down and run all the way down, once all the way down, hold a few seconds longer. Then hold and roll all the way up to top and HOLD AGAIN a few seconds - repeat procedure once more time and see if that 'programs the limits' - I have used this on other Ford vehicles...

Yup, if the feature is there, you just need to reprogram it. I've had to do this a couple times before on my Foci that somehow forgot how to do auto up/down. Just follow those instructions. ^

A feature for which have always failed to grok a need.

I like to drive with the window about one-third the way down and find it vexing when it goes all the way down first unless I massage the switch just right. As they say on the intertoobz, YMMV.

I find it really convenient when pulling in to parking garages/lots that require paid tickets to enter/exit. That's pretty much the only time I use it though.

That annoys me too, but my current car has 1 touch down AND up and I will miss it. It's a PITA sometimes but I use it more often than not.

What? It's a two stage switch. First stage is a hold, and second stage is all the way. Easy.

Somewhat sloppier about two stage operation on the car currently running about in, 28 years old. 🤨

One touch down is take or leave it but one touch up windows are pure garbage.

That and you can press it to go down automatically and again to stop. It's a feature, not remotely a negative.

I drove cars without it for so long that the first car I had with it was an annoyance for a while. I crack the windows down a lot and tapping the switch once and letting go had become automatic. Having to hit it a second time to keep the window from going all the way down was a damn nuisance. :) I would have preferred press and hold for a second, then release to make it go all the way down rather than just a touch.
