I haven’t found any threads discussing this but I was wondering if this was a possibility.

I know that the Lariat trim has one touch up/down windows all around (or at least that’s what I’ve read) but I was wondering if it’s possible to swap out the switches on the drivers side to allow for this function or if there were more steps to follow for this.

Has been discussed before. Can't recall if anyone has ever bothered to do it.

It's not just the switches. It's the motors in each door as well, plus any programming needed via FORScan or whatever to activate it.

Pretty sure this actually requires motors and separate modules. It's a lot more involved than just the switches.

The driver's door on XL and XLT has one touch down, but not up. All of the other doors have no one touch up, nor down.

Look at the related threads just below this one and you'll see the topic previously discussed.

Yeah, I assumed that the driver's window would since that is almost always the case but I was hoping to swap it for all four corners

Went trolling the Ford parts since it feels silly my wife's Subaru, that cost us $6k less than my future truck will, has a dual direction, one-touch driver's window.

Motor assembly is different, part number on the motor ends in "BA" instead of "AA":
One touch, up and down:

One touch, down only:

M1PB-14A366-AA

Driver's switch panel: SW8562
No link on Ford's site, can find pictures and data on eBay and elsewhere.

All parts are currently out of stock, motor will run about $70, the switch around $30.

Switch is connected by CAN (see picture), will most likely need some FORscan tinkering to enable.

If I have my truck by summer and get bored I might give it a shot, already have plans to open the doors to do some sound deadening and speaker upgrades.

thanks for the info! i'm planning on doing sound deadening as well along with possibly doing speakers while I have the panels off. However, wouldn't you need to get a motor for each window?

Each door would need a motor with the 1-touch up/down functionality, yes.

Oof, looks like the wiring is a lot more involved, I was assuming CAN control was also in play on the XL/XLT windows. The connectors are completely different, looks like the standard windows are controlled directly by the switches.

Sounds like as others have found, it's probably not worth the effort.
