XL versus XLT -- differences / value?

There is a price difference of almost $2600 between an XL and an XLT with nothing added. The only difference I see is wheels, rear armrest drink holders, change in color of certain pieces and the ability to add options. Is there anything significant I missed? I was considering upgrading order to an XLT but don’t see the value. Either one would be no options other than CP360 and hitch.

I have had both XL & XLT. Other small items that you did not mention is: auto locking tailgate, power mirriors, and the Custom orange interior trim (on the air vents & rubber console inserts). FYI.... My MAV#3 is the exact build you want with the only options: Hitch & CP360 being built this Saturday 2/24. I agree with you that XL is the better deal. Right after they announced the MY23 build out and my truck would be a MY24(roll over) I switched from Hybrid XLT to Hybrid XL. That way I get the $3,400 roll over credit on my XL build

I bought the XLT but if I were to do it again I’d buy the XL and just buy new rims out of pocket.

I thought I would like the orange accents but have grown tired of them.

The bells and whistles will not translate in to dollars at resale. I have two xl and with nothing on them and i am happy with that.

Both are nice, so you have a spare lol. What tonneu cover is that and was it hard to install with the chase rack or vise versa??? I have a truxedo cover and like the look of the rack but don't wanna mess stuff up.

When Cruise was added to XL they really didn't leave much of an advantage if you didn't intend to layer on a bunch more options/packages.

Mostplus it was easy to install and only took about an hour. Nice fit and inexpensive

I think at resale people don't care what you paid ,they only care how little they can get the truck for and bells and whistles come second. Example used maverick xl 25,000 or xlt 27,600.

Unfortunately for the buyers until the demand settles the price will be set by the sellers and they will reference the MSRP and adjust as the market permits.

My mistake, it was cruise not 360 you couldn't get with the XL when I ordered my first truck in 6/21. Its nice to have choices so hope everyone gets what they want.

Mis understood the keko sports bar was not hard to install. I first had to remove the tonneau cover, removing the clamps and keeping the frame together.( the tonneau was not made by keko). Keko sports bar installed in about 2 hours then reinstall tonneau by sliding it in between sports bar side rails.putting cover back on did not take long 45 mins.

Most the reviews I read recommending the XLT focused on the ability to add options (and increase the price). Like you, I could not see spending almost $3000 (before recent XL price increase) for wheels, rear armrest, and option to spend more money. I ordered an XL hybrid with CP360, the hitch (both worth the money) and a bed mat. Ordered July 17 and will pick up Saturday.

My after market tonneau still rolls up but it is more difficult. I think your truxedo will fit but i don't know for sure. My thought was if it doesn't fit i would return it.

I got the 2023 LX, AWD with the Tow Package. Area 51. I added the spray in bed liner, tri fold cover and some interior niceties out of pocket. Also, I bought the Bronco Sport wheels for $120 and sold the steel wheels for $80. So for $10 each, my perfect condition Bronco Sport wheels are cheap.

I was sold on the cruise control and back up camera for free. Also, I like the LX interior much better.

Almost 13,000 miles, averaging 29mpg for 27k. What’s not to like?

Nope, I'm not giving up my push-to-start button & keyless entry just to save a few bucks. After 50+ years in the workforce, I'm willing to pay for the creature comforts I want. The 11 months I spent with my '23 XLT were a PITA.
