So much of Facebook Marketplace is pure scam. If you can't drive to it, I would not (try to) buy it.

Hmmm, Their page has been up since Oct 2022 (so 18 months)... Surely if they were duping everybody Facebook would have shut them down by now, no? How can they stay there, advertising things for sale, taking people's money without delivering, and remaining there? Surely hoards of people would file complaints, no?

If you look at their FB profile, there is an address shown. Google that address, and you get a (now) closed auto shop of a different name. If they were more of a legit business, I'd expect a bit more professional information.

I agree with you.. this is what Google earth Shows as of 4/2023. I'm just curious how they manage to operate on Facebook for 18 months this way?
Facebook does not seem to care. I've reported the same camper van picture posted for sale as being in 10 or more locations at the same time, but no response from FB.
His purpose is not to run a clean marketplace. He has other purposes.

Confirmed via a conversation with a poster to the page who bought something. Paid in Full. No follow-up receipt or tracking number provided. Never received. No longer responded. This poster told me he filed complaints against facebook and paypal about a month ago. No action was taken, they post fake photos and merchandise daily.
Avoid them. I came in contact with the page becuase they posted a link to the maverick truck club fb group last week (it's down now).

Friends and family is a HUGE RED RLAG. Gives you no recourse. They are not your friends or family. RUN!! Before you lose your money.

Oh yeah... Ran Fast.... not before putting a photo of the abandoned property along the river in Pittsburgh that they use as their fake business address under the item that I was interested in... LOL!
