You have a right to your opinion. They asked if you'd buy another. And you said no. If that's how you feel, it's how you feel. But I do have a question. What hybrid truck can a person purchase for less money? I don't know of any. The week after I purchased my AWD hybrid Maverick with 4k towing package, my nephew stacked a bunch of chairs on the back along with a few other items that would not have fit inside an enclosed small SuV. Also I haul dirty items that I would not want inside a vehicle. About a year ago I purchased a refrigerator, couldn't find my nephew or anyone else in a timely manner. So I had to rent a vehicle if I'd had the Maverick, I could have used it. Of course if you don't need a pickup, there's no need to get one. But what kind of EV did you purchase? And did you purchase new?
I had a bunch of F-150's before i got the 2023 BS BB i had. I had to have the Neighbor across the street haul some Mulch Bags Last Year for me in His Truck when i still had the BS BB. I had some issues with the BS BB and traded it in for the 2025 XLT AWD 2.0 EB Maverick I've had now coming up on 2 months and love it. And hauled 30 1.5 cubic feet Mulch Bags in it .So like you said i wouldn't have wanted to haul them in the back of the BS BB since they are dirty and would be a pain to load in it.And i don't think i would have got the 30 bags of Mulch in the BS BB.

Years ago I had a crown vic and was able to haul a washing machine in the huge truck with it tied inside and the trunk open. But I put a small dent in it as a result. It was 20+ years ago . And I was 30 something, much stronger, and less sensible. Last year I did the same with a roll around dishwasher in a 1993 Grand Prix. Smaller and less heavy. But still just as unwise . Another small dent. Note that no current sedan exists that could fit a washer even if I wanted to. And IF a SUV exists, it would be a full size. Those tasks could EASILY be done with a Maverick. Yet the Maverick (hybrid or not) could be used basically as a compact borderline midsized sedan the rest of the time, especially if equipped with a folding/flip hard tonneau cover. I ALWAYS saw the benefit of a crew cab pickup. I just didn't want a big one.

I've owned my 2022 Mav for 3.5 years and usually around this time I start thinking about buying something else, but then I take the Mav for a drive and think, "Why would I want to sell this awesome little truck?"

To me it's ALMOST perfect for it's intended use. To my it's a 1/2 scale f150. That's a compliment to it because the f150 is a great vehicle. It's just too much truck for a lot of people's needs including mine.

I'd buy a Maverick again, but only when it has a 6MT.

It does what I want.
It handles 'quite well' for a pickup.
But the under-rated auto trans is a joke for the 2.0L EB, and severely limits any power adders. (Yes, I get it, by-design.)

As such, I would have no problem switching to another brand (Toyota) for a 6MT with similar (or smaller) size, weight, performance.

The Lobo should have been an "ST" model with a 6MT.
I'm Not asking for a 20k $ Maverick ST, or even a 35k $ Mav ST...If you need/want a cheap pickup, there are other models for that.
Just do a proper ST Mav and I'll be a happy boi.
But I'm not holding my breath for Ford to do the enthusiast crowd right, and I'll jump to Toyota if they get it right.

I might say, no. I got it 'cause it was a heck of a deal $!
But, I'm in love with my 2023 BS BL Cyber Orange
And I don't need 2 cars

In a heartbeat. I have a 2024 Maverick XLT Hybrid with 21K miles on it. No issues at all. I have owned a lot of PU Trucks over the years (Full Size, Mid size, Small etc...Rangers, Colorados, F150, Frontier) What always bothered me is that the small or midsize pickups could barely get 20MPG. I know they could have engineered something better on gas, but they never did. The Maverick Hybrid is the most versatile and economical PU I ever owned. Ford for some reason defied the oil companies and put out a truck that gets 40-45 MPG, has plenty of pickup. can tow or carry a decent load, produces a comfortable ride and is price fairly decent as long as your not one of these guys who likes to buy every bell and whistle just to have them. Most of the extras they add on are not worth the price.

If I could go back in time and do it over again, I'd still get it. However, if my Maverick gets totaled tomorrow, I'll probably get a F150 Lightning. It's bigger than I want, but I prefer driving a full electric. There weren't any affordable used EV pickups when I got my Maverick, but now there are.

Everytime I turn the key on my 2023 XLT, the display shows a picture of a Lariat. I want one of those because I won't have to use the key to start it anymore. Oh, and I like the wheels a little better too.

Yep! Bought it new, now at 41k miles. No regrets. Sometimes I wish I had a bigger truck but there are too many downsides of a bigger truck to me.

I had a Lariat and there's a few little things I miss.
