I have the regular Timbrens (not the off road ones). Based on my experience, I'd say the off road Timbrens are almost worthless. I don't think they would engage unless if you were crazy overweight. With my bed full of firewood, the regular Timbrens barely ever engage. I actually just added 1/4"...

Added shims to my Timbren bump stops so they engage sooner. The shims are an old tire that I cut up.

I think I can tell there are benefits in performance, especially when in the boost, but I’m cheap and don’t like spending the extra $1.xx per gallon. So usually regular 87 oxtane for me.

My 2025 has done the same things your describing since new. 5k miles on it now. Since the truck runs great otherwise, not too concerned about it but it is annoying. My 2023 was not like this at all.
