I tend to own a vehicle till they are over 10 years old. As the batteries age I wonder if the gas milage will hold up and will hybrids have any resale value. Who knows what vehicles will be available.

Any complaints I have are with Ford not with the hybrid power train.

I would say yes overall. This is my third hybrid vehicle (2nd Honda Insight which was efficient but terrible to drive and legitimately slow and a RAV4 Hybrid which is smooth). I would say Ford’s hybrid system mimics Toyota in operation and design.

First off, no one out hybrids a Toyota. They have continuously improved their hybrids. The Maverick comes close with some caveats and I expect future Maverick trucks to be more refined

I brought mine home in January 2022. And two years, 12k miles, and one flawless ownership experience later, I can say without the slightest hesitation that I would cheerfully buy another one in a heartbeat should the need arise.

To me it’s the perfect vehicle, although it may not be for everyone.

It’s got a better payload rating than compact cargo vans, has seats for my family of 4, it gets between 5 and 6 L/100km, is great for driving and parking in tight spots in downtown Toronto, and is fun to drive

SImple not all hybrids are having these issues. My Hybrid has been hear perfect, never left me stranded. Yes, I would buy another one.

Lithium ion batteries tend to be pretty reliable thankfully. Not to mention basically everything about Ford EVs and especially hybrids is done to prolong the life of the battery.

This 2.5 hybrid powertrain at it's core has been around for eons, and is known for being very reliable. It's gonna be ok friend.
