This is the strangest thing, it seems like i notice the windshield getting cluttered up more than my previous vehicle which was a camry. I know its car vs truck but i have pretty much resorted into keeping windex and microfiber in the truck to use weekly.

I have rain-x on it which works great in the rain, however the washer and wipers do little to remove bug guts from the windshield, microfiber is amazing though.

Is this my life now? is there a better solution?

I think it is because the windshield is so erect. At least it has that going for it!

Mine definitely catches more of everything (bugs, small rocks) than the more laid-back windshield in my car.

Get a vertical type bug deflector like the AVSII/Huskey or Weathertech that stand a little off the hood. It may help for finer particles too.

Bugs, windshield, pffft.
Matters not after you’ve endured the windshield blinding radiator clogging love bug swarms.
Best way to clean them when you get home is to drape a soaking wet beach towel over the windshield and another over the front end.
Always use a radiator bug screen in Love bug season when yer in Florida.
Pull em in the morning and all the bug guts hose right off.
Easy Peasy

Have noticed my Mav tends to be a bit of a bug graveyard, especially when driving at dusk. The lower valence especially.

I can tell you my windshield seems to be a rock magnet though... 😞

My experience with the Love Bugs was there was no waiting 'til you got home. If you could get home, your method was good. That was when I started putting an additional screen behind the grill in front of the radiator.

1st love bug smack and my screen goes on and stays till the locust swarm of biblical proportions was completely over.

Caught one in my teeth while riding my Roadster, tasted terrible.

Whats the last thing to go through a bugs mind when it hits your windshield ?
His ass hole~ :’P

Something as simple as this?
Got a long highway trip in Oct, and wouldn't mind a couple protections.
Usually long trips are for camping, in winter - distinct lack of bugs, so never had a need.

ETA: looks like 34 w x 21 h is all that's needed.

I wish I could find a place that has a nice radiator bug screen that would fit my 24! P.S. WTF is a love bug? VW Beatle?

Try cleaning your windshield, if you have to, buff out any minerals with some 0000 steel wool. Clean and dry again. Once it is perfectly clean and dry, ceramic coat it. I used nexgen to do my entire truck, paint, plastic, trim and glass. I still get bugs on my windshield but they clean off super, most of the time with just the wipers.
