Will installing window vents reduce any wind noise ? Just curious if they will.

Do you mean window visors? That allow you to have your windows a inch down while its raining?

If so, no they wont reduce wind noise. They could increase it, though. Cant imagine by much.

I feel like they increase noise when the window is cracked. They let me sneakily release my vapor though!

There were on the ‘22 FE Lariat Lux I had and I thought they were terribly loud. I also thought the Ford ones didn’t fit very well and didn’t look so great. I opted not to put them on my ‘23.

My experience on about a dozen vehicles has been no perceived difference in noise, albeit not something we paid close attention to either. Our ‘23 Hybrid is mid shipment, and I will be getting window visors regardless once it’s in my possession. The added benefit of being able to crack windows for ventilation (while parked) in hot weather is quite valuable to us. I typically go with one of the big aftermarket brands, and usually go for the tinted varieties.

Seen, well heard, both ways. You can crack the windows at higher speeds without as much noise, provided they're low profile.

I think glue on visors make more noise than in-channel, based on prior vehicles. Don't yet have them on the Maverick.

I added them on mine shortly after I got it. It is a little bit noisier when the window is only partially down, not bad though. I am one of those folks that prefers to ride with the window all the way down so it isn't a big deal to me. In the summer when it is a bazillion degrees outside I like to drop the window down about an inch to let it cool off when it is parked. Mine are the Ford version and I like the way they look.

^ all the above ^
The only issue I've ever had with the in channel type was getting a wash mitt up between the visor and the glass. In other words, nothing of consequence.

i had the in channel type on a 2011 escape and it stressed one of the window motors to the point where it had to be replaced due to excessive resistance because of poor fitment in the window channel. the other windows didnt have any such issues.
ever since then i've gone with the stick on outside version. maybe the newer in channel ones fit in there better?

I have WellVisors brand window deflectors and they significantly reduced wind noise across the windshield with the windows fully up. Even if you crack the windows open, air gently circulates within the cabin even at highway speeds. Without the WellVisors, the wind noise across the windshield was LOUD and opening a window was like letting a hurricane in. It was my one major complaint about the truck. The WellVisors is one of the best mods I put on the truck.

FYI, the "slim" or "low profile" window vents are not as effective as they sit too close to the actual window. The vents are suppose to "deflect" (hence the name "window deflectors") wind away from the windows. The wind "tumbling" over the side windows and pillars is the cause of the wind noise.

I like them, have put them in all my previous trucks, but agree with others who said it INCREASES wind noise. For that reason alone I'm just gonna skip them on the Mav
