Now I understand. The window closes up against the bottom of the vent and stays there to keep the vent in place. If you want to close the window all the way you have to remove the vent.
I was thinking the vent stayed in place in front of the window at all times and in all weather and did not interfere with window going up or down. Now that is something Mabett or someone should produce.

Are you talking about the Mabett window vents? I think you are talking about something else. The purpose of the Mabett vents is to be able to open rear windows. I want to know if water comes in when the windows are closed with the Mabett window vents installed
🤓 Yes the Mabett ones, I haven’t seen any others. I really like the idea, they’ve come up with some good stuff. You’re supposed to take them out to go to the car wash. It was sitting in my driveway, it was about 3 AM when the heavy downpour came along. I have the door Handle storage organizers, that’s were I could see the water. It wasn’t much, but there was some still there, wish I had thought about taking pictures. 🙄 when driving with the vents in and the front windows up, you can hear a little bit of airflow, but you don’t get the buffering like when the windows are all the way down. Open both front windows and the airflow is amazing. It only takes a handful of seconds to pull them out and put them in.

Do those result in dirty dusty interior?
🤓 That’s a very good question, I haven’t been through any dusty conditions to find out.

So, they are nomore than a window screen..
I would think that after a few days, how does the exterior of your car looks ( slight dust) is how your interior will look too.. 🤔

🤓 🤔 WHAT MOON ROOF???
if it was deleted from yours, harbor freight sells reciprocating saws for under $50, I think . . .

🤪

and then if it rains, you can just put a vent in the roof hole!

Those look useless any way. The amount of actual convection from those tiny holes is nothing. Not to mention if someone wanted to break in. Push that thing right in. I have in-channel vent shades and I leave my windows open 1.5 to 2 inches at least 24 /7 and never get water in.( only when I leave the moonroof open ) Blowing snow yes. water no. Get your money back.

They're more difficult to push in than you may think from appearances. They would have to be broken out of the door frame forcefully. They're great for my use cases but, in my opinion, the use cases for these aren't the same as for vent shades.
