Window Regulator Panel Removal for Sound Dampening Install

I never took the glass all the way out - no need. It seems like if you removed the weatherstripping, the glass would just pull out of the door. You wouldn't need to remove the inner door skin. I don't think it will be that difficult to remove.

So glass is around $280 ordered online, I found a place that will do it for $440 installed using Ford factory glass so I'm going that route but will watch them. I have the Ford repair manual but can't quite follow it and don't know my way around the vehicle yet. I'll report back with how it's done. Thanks for your reply!

I can take pics of the driver's side door when I do that side. I've already closed up the passenger side. I plan on tackling that side on the weekend. On the passenger side I used Kno Knoise Kolossus CLD on the large exposed portions of door skin and then put some thick closed cell foam deadener directly behind the driver.

These pics are great for my issue. When I was replacing the front door speakers the small clip on the connecter for the cables that operate the interior door lock and the interior door pull broke. Thank you eBay for selling just the cable with connector on it.
Do you have to go through the steps involving the glass have to be done to get the window regulator panel off? It seems easy enough following your steps, but thought I would ask.

When I started my stereo install I knew I'd want to get some sound dampening inside the door. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a tutorial on how to get the window regulator panel off. After some research on similar vehicles I was able to sort it out. It is actually pretty simple once you know what to look for. Kudos to Ford for making it easy.

When you say you want to lower the glass until the tabs are visible, does that mean lower it with our hands or lower it using the buttons that normally control the windows?
Seems like the buttons are disconnected so it seems like we lower it with our hands. Would I want it taped up before I do that?

Lower it with the buttons. They are still connected while the door skin is off. When you press the tabs to release the glass, then you can move it by hand and tape it to the door
