Funny at 46 I find myself doing the same.👀 My eyesight definitely isn't getting better, thankfully no glasses yet other than cheaters.😉
Luckily, I have never had to wear reading glasses. Even at 69, the only time I wear glasses is when I drive at night.

I rarely need them but there's few occasions when reading very small writing that I do. Thankfully I don't need prescriptions or have to wear them at night or any other time.

I was very surprised how well these were packaged for just being vent visors. I like that EGR had these wrapped in plastic in separate bags. That were inside chambered cardboard box to keep the plastic from getting all scratched up.

I'm not fond of FedEx but somehow they got him here safely and unscratched. All thanks to EGR's safe packaging. I was kind of surprised the fronts just sit inside the channel without using any type of double-sided tape. Whereas the rears do use very thin double-sided tape, like paper thin.

I also did notice the fronts do take more effort on the motors to properly get the window to go all the way up, as well as to start to roll down. Hopefully after a night or two with the windows rolled all the way up that subsides. Where as the rear windows have no issue going all the way up or opening without any trouble with the in channels installed.
I still put some tape on the fronts.
Remember.
No window use for 72 hours.

I put a set of EGR in-channel deflectors on about 2 weeks ago and I really like them. They provide excellent coverage, block just the inside of the right side mirror a tiny bit (not a concern) and look really good. They are far superior to the AVS, imo, and on par with the WeatherTech. Last I checked, WeatherTech didn't have any visors for the rear windows, just the front. I got all 4 EGR visors for less than the set of 2 from WeatherTech. Highly recommend. Don't understand the negative reviews I've read about them. They seem great to me.
I installed the EGRs a few weeks back and I’m a fan. I don’t like the laser etched logo but I can deal with it.

Well I know that's not going to happen cuz for the next 3 days they'll get a half hours use in the morning, and a additional half hour on the drive home. But it'll be parked outside in the sun at work for 8 hrs so hopefully that helps some.

You may get bounce back.
There must be a reason, the manufacturer EGR states in their instructions.
No window use for 72 hours after installation.
I don't feel it's arbitrary.

We would run into the same problem with our vinyl graphics customers. Folks not willing follow the enclosed instructions, proper cleaning of the vehicles surface, the amount of time to wait for the graphic to properly adhere to the surface and not be pulled off with the transfer tape/paper ( depending on the temperature. It could be anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours) before trying to remove the transfer tape.
Then blaming either the vinyl graphic or the transfer tape as being faulty.

Not saying it won't happen, I did have the issue with my 2012 F-150 which is why I took out the AVS in channels and installed the AVS low profile vent visors instead. But, the 10 times I did roll the windows down and back up with the EGR's installed tonight in the front, I had no issue with bounce back it was just slow going completely up for the last inch.

If you watched my video. Mine does the same thing.

Could you recommend a thin double sided tape to apply to mine? I noticed my driver's window visor was coming down a little bit in the back when the window gets rolled down. And then it rattles. I can push it back up in, but it comes out next time I roll the window down. A little tape should fix that. Only problem is it's 40°F outside. 😬

Has anyone had them on their truck for a longer period of time? I am curious about how they hold up going through a car wash.
I bought my Lariat hybrid in Oct. ‘22, and I put the deflectors on right away. I’ve taken it to the car wash bi-weekly for two years. No problem with the adhesive at all.

I would highly recommend this 3M waterproof double sided tape. The thin tape won't hold.

What brand of window vents do you have?
Mine are EGR in-channel therefore,
I used double sided Gorilla Tape pictured below.
I bought it at AutoZone.
You can use whatever tape you want.
In this application. I stay away from foam tape.
I don't want the potential bounce back problems, that a few members have complained about within Channel window vents.
I've never experienced that problem.
The temperature is not in your favor. You may be waiting till summer.

Good Luck

I also have the EGR which is why I thought you'd be the perfect person to ask. Thanks!

👍
No problem and Great timing.
I got my Maverick washed at the tunnel of torture. I took pictures showing before and after of my window vents and antenna still intact.
I never remove the antenna....

The torture begins.
Window vents made it.

Antenna is still there.
