Real happy with my in channel EGR, no bounce back a year in with no scratching on this or previous trucks.

Looks good, mine should be here Tuesday. I love the look of the in channels, I hope I'm as lucky as you with no issues on bounce back on fronts and no scratching on the windows edges.

You will likely get some bounce when installing, I did on the drivers side. Follow the instructions and keep windows up a day or two, I did two. If they drag after that wipe in some dry silicone, I didn't have to on this truck.
The plastic will not scratch the glass, it's softer but grit will visors or not if it accumulates. Take some time to clean the channels couple time a year, visors or not. I use an old dry tooth brush followed by a vacuum.

I put a set of EGR in-channel deflectors on about 2 weeks ago and I really like them. They provide excellent coverage, block just the inside of the right side mirror a tiny bit (not a concern) and look really good. They are far superior to the AVS, imo, and on par with the WeatherTech. Last I checked, WeatherTech didn't have any visors for the rear windows, just the front. I got all 4 EGR visors for less than the set of 2 from WeatherTech. Highly recommend. Don't understand the negative reviews I've read about them. They seem great to me.
I agree Redline. I put my EGRs on last week with no issues. They hit the safety down feature a couple of times then were fine. Great look and very functional.

I installed my EGRs on a warm day and left them up for 2 days after installation. Never bounced back. I will follow the advice given and be sure to clean the channels a couple of times a year. 😬

Absolutely correct. AMEN.
My wife's Ford Escape does not have window vents, but yet after a windy day. I still have to clean the channel's out, because they get crunchy.
Here is a video.
If we've had an extremely windy day.
I will may use a shop vac, air compressor. Canned air works too.
You may want to do this cleaning before you do the install.

The only thing I would add is a spray bottle w/water and a thin cloth on the end of the tool.

EGR install video and instructions from real truck.
This product offers an easy, at home no drill installation. The installation manual is clear cut and easy to read. For additional information, please see below. You may also call us toll-free if additional assistance is needed!

Please note: Keep windows in the UP position for 72 hours and do not drive vehicle for 4 hours after installation.

It's true. 😁
In the 3 window vent/ deflector threads that I know of. You are the first one, who realizes it is grit and grime getting in the window channel that's scratching the tempered safety glass. Not the acrylic/plastic visor.

I also wonder 🤔 how many folks having problems with bounce back. Did not bother to follow the instructions and wait the 72-hours as recommended before using the windows?😉

We don't usually have crunchy air around these parts pardner, but I did a 8 month Army electronics school in Az years back. At the time I was surprised how many vehicles looked sand blasted there. 😎

Arrived today and installed... If it wasn't for the laser etching on the fronts, you almost wouldn't be able to tell they're there.

Update: I've been using these daily, and experienced zero bounce back. 👍😎

I thought they were before pictures.
I had to enlarge the pictures to see them. Very slick 👍

I was very surprised how well these were packaged for just being vent visors. I like that EGR had these wrapped in plastic in separate bags. That were inside chambered cardboard box to keep the plastic from getting all scratched up.

I'm not fond of FedEx but somehow they got him here safely and unscratched. All thanks to EGR's safe packaging. I was kind of surprised the fronts just sit inside the channel without using any type of double-sided tape. Whereas the rears do use very thin double-sided tape, like paper thin.

I also did notice the fronts do take more effort on the motors to properly get the window to go all the way up, as well as to start to roll down. Hopefully after a night or two with the windows rolled all the way up that subsides. Where as the rear windows have no issue going all the way up or opening without any trouble with the in channels installed.
