What setup are you envisioning achieving utilizing this? The B&O already has a dedicated subwoofer output and a 4-channel input off the B&O would be unnecessary since they're all front-channel and with unknown high-pass filter.

I can't think of any situation where the lc5 is needed, unless installing aftermarket amps that don't have speaker level inputs. Still, you'd be much better served installing a DSP if you're wanting to do upgrades. You'll need the DSP to get the sound right anyway.

I thought the LC5 had a built in DSP. Maybe I’m confused and summing isn’t the same. I will probably go with a DSP then. The goal is a 4 channel and a sub amp and obviously new speakers and some sort of box setup. Not sure yet on the specifics.

If you're not majorly versed in using/ setting up a DSP, going with the Kicker Key amps would be your most trouble free simple move. The key amps have auto DSP, are super simple, and work quite well. Many people on here have had great results with them. If you're really finicky about the sound, then a standalone DSP is better since you'd have complete control over the sound and crossover settings. I hope that helps.

Summing just means being able to combine/split audio signals. For instance if you did want to use a single 5.1 DSP/Amp you could use the LC5 for that to combine the B&O subwoofer and front signal back together. Theoretically the 6-channel LC6i/LC7i look to be able to do the same for about the same price/cheaper and maybe one could even sum in the center channel signal to get rid of it.

Of course the more elegant approach would be use something like the PAC AmpPRO AP4-FD31 which interfaces with the A2B digital signal.

Thanks Daron for the great explanation. That helps
