Broncos don’t matter here.
the more the color is assigned to multiple car lines (over saturated) the less chance of a color becoming a collectors item…..it will be back, maybe a shade or two different but you’ll see it again

I suspect Cyber-orange is more likely to be a classic, not many people want to have a vehicle that looks like a school bus or taxi from the factory, so not many out there.
I still don't understand how having the same color makes the shape of a vehicles profile look different. So if I paint my Maverick in Ferrari red, my Maverick will look like a Ferrari?

The new Azure Grey is similar but yet different. Area 51 will only be produced in 2022 and 2023 model years? Will these become collectible or will it just be a discontinued color everyone forgets about?
God I hope so!

Do you think Charles Leclerc would drive a Maverick? :ROFLMAO:

We are talking about paint colour, not the profile. ;) When I say it looks like a school bus or taxi, I just mean the colour, it's not 120IQ stuff here.

Oxford White is a true classic color. They have using it for decades!
Ya, it was the color of my last Ranger (2008)

"Area 51" will be just another "Matte" color from the current trend. Which will change in a few years.. But, It is a color I like...

There is something to be said about Area 51 being used as one of the featured colors in the original Maverick launch. There are some folks who do collect vehicles with that as a criteria.

Not a ton, but some.

Here is an observation. I watch many television auto auctions. Never have I seen one Maverick on either Barrett-Jackson nor Mecum.

I think it looks great on the Tremor's, but no so much everywhere else.

Lets be honest here too - it's a cheap paint for them. I'm actually surprised they discontinued it.

What is the difference between the Area 51 and the new one they have that looks similar?

The new one's metallic and they can charge more money for it.

I honestly think the popularity of Area 51 and how it wasn't an upcharge color is what killed it.

Yes, but you’d need one of those little horsie badges, too.

Matte usually means not glossy. I was trying to come up with a word for all these new shades of gray, but come up with one. Maybe “shades of gray” is it.
