Because Ford is too stupid to offer voice-controlled turn signals! :p
If you had voice controlled signals, the cars behind you will go crazy when your wife keeps yelling, turn right! no left! no my left not yours.

I am 60. Maybe that's not old. But it certainly not Young. I have never seen a case where the climate controls were difficult to see at all. And I have driven in noonday sun, morning glare, and afternoon glare. I have had to squint, pull my sun visor down, and shift my head on occasion to safely see where I was going some mornings and evenings when driving into the sunrise and sunset. But I have never had the least bit of difficulty seeing the climate controls. The background is black contrasted by either red blue or white. I wear bifocals. I have a pair with lines. And I have a pair with progressive lenses. No problem with either. Again, I think it comes down to preference rather than safety with this particular vehicle and its climate controls. Nothing is wrong with preferring one or the other. I just think that the safety Factor is nonexistent in my opinion.
60 is not old, I'm 84 (i'll be 85 in Sept) I'm old school like most of us. I set my controls before I start driving. The A/C is set, the station on the radio set, my seat position is set, my mirrors are set, anything else can wait until I get to where I'm going!

I'm sure all of the 2025 owners keep both hands on the wheel at ALL times. Which explains why so many of them make turns without signalling, too unsafe to take 1 hand off the wheel.
really? How tiny are your hands? Nobody takes their hands off the wheel to signal. The stalk is designed to be used with a fingertip. The main problems in my are are with Tesla drivers not signalling at all ever since they replaced the turn-signal stalk with buttons on the wheel, and Volkswagen owners who have no clue what a safe merging distance is in behind them.

That makes sense. That way if anything absolutely needs to be adjusted, it will only be the temperature which is just a + or -. But you may be like my 93 year old mother with her 2001 Grand Marquis. The vast majority of the time I drive unless she drives to or from my house. I notice that the climate controls are usually where I set them the last time I was in the car. She says that she can survive the time it takes to get from her house to mine which is about 8 miles on an uncrowded country road she's driven since she was in her late 20s. She may turn the radio volume up or down. Or turn the wipers on if needed. But that's about it. She used to not be that way. But I think at her age, she just wants to concentrate on driving and nothing else. Most older people adapt their driving to their abilities and current comfort level which is a wise move in my opinion.

There are vehicles today that will make the 70s era small block Chevy seem like a cake walk,
oh, it was largely the heat shield for cylinder #1 that removed large amounts of flesh and blood.

I somehow managed to change the back bank (passenger compartment side) on the transversely mounted Northstar in a Deville. It's not nearly so bad on the Eldorado with the longer hood.

The back left plug on the 72-76 RamAir Firebird big-block was impossible even with 3 u-joints in the extensions without first unbolting the mount and jacking the engine up about 4 inches.

My 71 Torino with a 351 Cleveland was not designed to change the middle plugs on each side. I was 17 at the time and asked my much older brother how to change them. He said we could unbolt the engine, hoist it up to get to them. Or he said he could pull the tire and hole saw an access hole to get to them. Those holes worked good.
The plugs on my BBF Mustang are a piece of cake to change. :)

It appears that the futurists, engineers, and companies are already rethinking the display and distractions. This is all concept, but it is an indication that things should be getting better and taking into account some of the concerns people are raising now. We have seen some of this is already appearing in production vehicles in China with reconfigurable interior space. So this presentation sounds like some distant future, but we see it is already starting to happen now in other markets.
Simply amazing! Maybe "simply" is not the best adjective. One annoyance was her repetitive use of 'experience". Must have used the word 20 times and it became as annoying as when a person keeps saying "like". Other than that, it was an amazing exper . . . oops.

One thing I like about the 2025 Maverick is that the drive mode button is on the steering wheel controls instead of a button on the center console. It is quicker, easier and safer to adjust the drive mode this way while on the road. I am going to try to retrofit the steering wheel switch onto my 2024 and make the changes in forscan to get it working.

Have you tried the new screen? All the climate controls are at the bottom of the 2025's screen permanently displayed. Once you know where they're at it's function is much like physical controls only quicker. It's when they make you dig through screens to find them that's bad. Then there's how often do you really access those controls and the fan is the most often used. The bigger screen is actually easier to use because of the size. You no longer try to hit a small target.

A reviewer of the 2025 whined about there was no volume knob, all the while the video showed the center stack with it's volume control knob in plain sight. He just assumed. Now that's an idiot. If you haven't used the screen you really don't know no matter what you watched or read. It's by far the best touch screen I've used and Sync 4 is so much better than the previous versions. Then there's voice control. Just use it.
Can you hit the fan button multiple times to cycle thru the speeds, or would that just pop the adjustment graphic up & down?

Even though the adjustment graphic pops up, I don't ever use it. I just hit the "button" multiple times. Same with the Temp adjustment You can also shut the climate control off completely by hitting the fan speed button down once more after it's on low. It's as simple as can be in my opinion.

I really appreciated the simplicity of the Maverick on screen controls all the more after driving my cousin's 2016 Acura RDX. I replaced her AC condenser. And when I turned her AC on and tried to manually adjust the fan speed, It took me a while the even find the adjustment on the cluttered screen. The rear defogger was equally difficult to find. The Temp adjustment was easy because it was a physical knob. But everything else including the radio was confusing unless you're very familiar with the vehicle. In contrast, a person could get in the Maverick and quickly find the climate and radio controls even if previously unfamiliar.

Yes. They are acting like kids. Everyone knows my 2025 hybrid XLT AWDS with 4k towing package and sunroof is the best combination. Only an immature person would argue otherwise 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I just realized the same thing a couple days ago on My 2025 if you tap on the fan speed or temp buttons they go up or down when i was using the A/C.
