Why doesn’t Ford or a aftermarket company make a fog light insert ?

The installation of the Diode Dynamics kit requires major disassembly. The bumper has to come off and you must make cuts in the plastic. Also, if you have installed fender guards, they may have to come off as well.
Watch their installation video before you buy it. It's a high quality kit, just know what you are getting into.

These options are more complicated than what was available for the vehicle in the video..

The vehicle in the video isn't even for the US market and the Maverick itself is probably more complicated than whatever that is. So the answer to the question in the thread title is basically "The Maverick is put together differently.."

The DD kit is the most plug-and-play setup there is. Consider yourself lucky that you have a hybrid with no tow hooks.

The Mavericks are foreign made vehicles and apparently the vehicle in the video was a better design that allows for easier installation of accessory lighting. The DD is not plug and play it is disassembling the front of the vehicle and installing the lights mounts, lights and wires. I looking for something that would be easy as a template for the bumper cut out and a light mount that would snap in place with wiring to plug into existing wiring. That’s what I consider a less complicated option for installing. But because Ford didn’t think ahead about adding fog lights it basically became a more complicated installation option than most owners would like to deal with. Similar with the cheap useless rear view mirror installed in the Maverick. But it can be replaced by using a cheap stock multi function Hyundai mirror. Ford screwed Maverick owners on that option also.

I long for the days when you could bolt on some aux fog lights, run wires to a relay under the hood, fused wire to the battery, and wires to a switch that you mounted in or under the dash. Simpler times.

But yeah, DD makes a nice kit though installation is a bit of work. And it's not compatible with the tow hooks of the FX4 or Tremor.

My point about the non-US-market was not about assembly. Cars designed for sale in countries with a lower standard of living and/or less safety regulations are often designed differently, especially if there isn't a North American version of the vehicle. Whether or not that is "better" design might depend on how much safety, efficiency, and creature comfort you are willing to give up.

Anyway, I understand what you want. It isn't available, because of the vehicle design. DD is the most plug and play option that exists... It's obviously all relative.

EXACTLY!! That's really all I would want to do. The removal of the bumper, cutting the holes, tapping into the correct colored wires, making sure the lamp switch turns on appropriately...................its a lot to do on the Maverick. Yes, when its all done, it looks sweet, but it would have been great if the stock bumper had clipped inserts where the lights go instead of having to cut. Then maybe you wouldn't have to drop the entire bumper.

Sounds to me to be a great business opportunity for you. Spend a couple hundred thou to make the tooling for a front-load set of inserts, and the world will beat a path to your door.

Not going that route🤡 Because Ford could come out with a add on kit at any time if they wanted to

Of course they could,,,, but they won't. That's why the aftermarket was created.

Not needed IMO, the stock lights have great light output.
Now looks wise is another story...
