Hope this finds everyone safe and well. Anywho, I was curious if any of you have been getting your Maverick a good looking over by someone. I was at a light yesterday and a guy in a black Jeep Gladiator rolled up next to me. As if being Cyber Orange wasn't enough, he seemed to focus on my blacked-out hood with the "Powered by Ecoboost" decals. And then he slowly rolled forward, damn near face against his window looking over my Mav trying to catch sight of the front. When the light changed and a casually took off, he hung back and, in my rear view mirror, was checking out the rear as if trying to comprehend the truck. He finally accelerated and slowly passed me by with a brief wave. Sizing up the competition, I guess.

I'm sure you all have some such experiences as well.

Babes usually about 30-40 years younger than me constantly look at my truck then engage in conversation. I used to enjoy it but it's almost Beatlesque now.

Drives my wife nuts but Mav owners gonna do Mav owner things.

Man, mine must be defective. I hope there's a recall to fix it.

Nobody really.
It has kind of surprised me.

I live where there are a lot of huge 4x modded trucks.

Maybe they do notice mine. They seem to want to show me how big and fast they are.

Today at work a guy from another department asked me what the MPG was. Right after that the guy at the drive-through at Jimmy John's asked me if it was a Jeep. He then asked me what the MPG was. I've never been asked that until today.

Yes. Here too. They often get on it at stop lights to impress us with their 12" wide M/Ts, 12" lift' 12" diameter exhaust tips and turbo whistle. I'm guessing they may be trying to compensate for some shortcomings in themselves. We all seek validation in our own way. I suppose that's why I'm writing this. Also, loud vehicles annoy the shit out of me. I'm old!

Pretty much nobody. I have had two people ask me if it was an electric truck in the last year. That's it. Mavericks blend in with existing trucks - really not that visually different from a Colorado. Around here Mavericks are a dime a dozen. I'll see a few each day, including now three neighbors who have them (never spoke to them).

Only one older couple a few months ago. Had it 8 months, practically invisible. May be because it's silver.
