Makes it look less like a commercial vehicle.

Also, I wonder about the grill bar. It's silver, like on the Lariat. But it's an XL grill. I thought the XL grill bar was integral with the front grill and not removable. Only removable on XLT and Lariat. So if that's true, was the XL grill bar painted silver? Wonder about the story with that one.

I bet that grill bar would look awesome painted in a matching bronze color to the wheels.

I plan on painting my Grill bar Bronze too. I will match my wheels and tail gate letters.

Looks classy, kinda like a newer Wrangler with a monochromatic paint job. Wheels look great too!

I like the white paint, but I'm not crazy about the bronze wheels.

To me, it's a clash to have bronze and chrome on the same vehicle. If you were to bronze the other chrome parts, the wheels would look right then.

I just remembered that I had a 1984 white VW GTI convertible with a German aftermarket front spoiler on it.

The spoiler was smooth black plastic which I had professionally painted white to match the car. Not sure if they put a flexing agent in the paint or what but that spoiler never lost any paint. It never flaked, rubbed, or fell off at all. It looked as good as new after 100K as it did new, a few chips but that’s all.

Other paint I have seen on automotive plastic usually wears off, especially in high exposure areas like the front valance/ spoiler. This is why I am hesitant to paint any of the lower plastic bodywork on my Mav, or any other car.

Wonder what the difference was? Evidently it can be done correctly so as to mitigate paint loss.
