Where is manual lumbar adjustment?

I had a chance to see two Mavericks, XLT and Lariat at the dealership. I do like the electric lumbar on the lariat, however according to Ford the XLT is equipped with a manual lumbar as well. I spent some time looking around the seats but do not find it on either the driver side or the passenger side. Am I missing something?

I wondered about that as well. Manual lumbar on a passenger seat in a 21k truck seemed really unlikely to me, but it's listed.

Yes, the 9/24/2021 Order Guide shows Lumbar for the manual seats for my XL, both driver and passenger seats. However the only mention of Lumbar in the Owners Manual ("If Equipped") shows the adjustment on power seats. Based on Aparadox's observation I think the Order Guide is incorrect.

I saw that and it was written off as a website error. Well here we are in Jan and it is still on their website and people are still ordering their trucks with the expectation that when it arrives it will be equipped as advertised.

did you read post #36. The seats could have Lumbar support in their design and simply not adjustable like some manufactures have.

If it were adjustable then the line you underlined would also say adjustable if Ford was consistent describing the seats.

No lumbar adjustment xl or xlt it’s been covered by a few here already was easy to mistake as I thought so too but reading is hard and I seen it in person with the vehicle I bought as opposed to the one I was looking to order online

Exactly this (most likely) - they 'manually' inserted a lumbar support at the factory. It doesn't state it is adjustable!

What does one think of when reading "Manual lumbar"? It implies, if not directly means, that some lumbar adjustment can be made Manually, not that the factory inserted some extra foam or something. This is deceptive wording on the part of Ford. Fortunately, some of us who looked into this prior to purchase discovered it. I have two levels of fusion in my lumbar and sometimes I do not want that extra bulge of hard foam sticking me in the back so, yes, this is a very valid issue Ford should clarify in their literature.

Manual lumbar means it is not electronic otherwise it is a seat with lumbar support.

This reference has been completely removed from the latest Canadian order guide dated 01/17/2022. I imagine the US one will be updated eventually to reflect the same. Looks like it was an error from the start. Only took six months to correct it!

The only lumbar reference in the guide is now for the optional 8-way driver seat.
