1 - split rear seat. you lose the storage if you have a car seat.
2 - the drive setting should stay until changed - IE if I put in Eco I want it to stay in Eco - not set it each time I drive.
3 - a recessed bed storage area like the ridgeline has.

I wouldnt mind the beep but I am not in a major city so I say make it a setting you can turn off or on.
I agree 1&2 are my top wishes only other thing would be the removal of annoying seat belt warning that comes up and won't go away after starting, I am not 2 I know about seat belts and don't need reminded.

I wish the bed was 5 feet. I have had many items that were an inch or 2 to long so I had to keep the tail gate down. No biggie but 5 feet would be the perfect length for the Mav.

  1. I want the Google OS operating system in the car, not some Ford disaster.
As much as I hate Ford sync/sync lit, letting Google make the OS, yikes. As if the thing isn't spying on the owners enough already! So not only will Ford know everything about everywhere you go, and the modem supplier, but then Google will too. Great! And of course we all know how long Google supports the OS. So you might get 2-3 years of support and then, tough luck, or some kind of subscription service. Then when malware takes over your car because you downloaded some app or hacked update it's bricked. Delightful!

Actually idiotic that it doesn’t beep.
To be fair, like someone else mentioned, if they made it beep, there had better be an option to turn the sound off. Plus you'd probably have to turn the sound off everytime you got in the truck, which would be annoying.

Otherwise, your maverick would be beeping at you dozens or hundreds of times everytime you drove somewhere. Every single person I've ever driven with looks at their mirrors before changing lanes. So the light by itself is perfectly fine from our experience.

Most older people can't hear anyways. So they'd have to crank the sound up, blowing out the eardrums on younger passengers and making the experience even worse. If old people can't be bothered to check their mirrors, they don't deserve a license.

A raisable lip on the back, and sides of the tailgate that you could fold up while it was down could be cool. So you could carry longer loads more securely.

This might not be the right thread, but I have a couple of big problems (For me), and any help would be great!
(I have a 22 XLT Hybrid).
1. Passenger seat height is fixed. I am over 6 foot tall with a back problem and I find it very difficult to get into that seat. I end up putting my head in first, then crawling and stuffing the rest of my body into the seat!

2. I use Google maps a lot, and the car display works fine when I plug my phone into the phone jack. The problem is the screen is not very bright and the displays surface reflects sunlight making it unreadable. I spent a bit of time and I finally found the display settings, but it was already set to the highest level.

Any help for a Newbe?

Does anyone know why the Maverick doesn't have a Home link for your Garage door opener?

It is time for the engineering minds on the forum to go to work. If there were ONE thing you would add, remove or change to the Maverick, what would it be? We all love the Maverick, but most people wish that it had, or did not have XXXXX. What is your wish? Mine is simple and most would not want it. I wish that there was an audible beep when a vehicle came up into your blind spot. I know that with BLIS on CP360 you have the little symbols in the outside mirrors, but we are not always looking there. This is especially true for us older folks. Anyhow, what is yours?
I wish the blindspot indicator wasn't in the mirror at all. If the sun or headlights are shining in the mirror, you can't look at the mirror to see the blind spot indicator.

Why in good gravy would we want it to beep every time someone is in our blind spot. In rush hour it wouldn't stop. Are you saying only when your blinker is on? Maybe then... But you have a light in the mirror. If you are checking your mirrors like you should not sure how anyone could miss that...
Yes, the cross traffic alert is annoying enough when you are trying to back out onto a busy street.

As others have mentioned:

Split rear seat bottom
Fold flat rear setback

And how about:

Push button start on the XLT
A brighter screen, even if it stays at 8"
Black interior option
Rear window defroster
2x4 post holes at the corners of the bed
