I have what is a probably stupid question but i would like a ballpark timeframe on what you think. stuff. I ordered a Tremor XLT, what's the realistic time frame for something like this? 3 months, 6 or next summer?
I ordered what you see in my signature, an EB Lariat Lux with 4K tow. My dealer told me late spring based on their experience. Interestingly, it seems Ford had been looking at a lot of the Tremors the past couple weeks. We'll have a better idea once they actually start scheduling, but I would say aim for summer and be surprised if it comes sooner.

Great sense of humor.... forgot to ask which summer!
Thanks, keeps me from going "Maverick Crazy!"
I hate Toyota and Hyundai! I want my hybrid Ford Maverick and thats it; here I wait...

When and if I get it, my plan is to drive my family all around the country in the summertime.
Nothing beats the old old days of summer time road tips in the back seat of the car with a stack of comic books.
Back in the time most towns still had roadside attractions.
My kids do not believe that computers were once the size of a room and you did not need a computer to drive the vehicle for you.

I want the hybrid to just make driving around cheaper on our family, but I would rather restore a 1960's or 70's classic.
Gas will never go back to what it was so I've just got to go with the flow.

I kinda hate that Ford has the market cornered on this. If literally anyone else can bring a cheap Mav competitor to market and get them shipped in a few months, I’d ditch this shitshow in 2 seconds.
i’ve already ditched it myself. bad experience with the local Ford dealer i originally ordered a Maverick through first, then watching the order process lunacy with miscommunication and constantly changing customer expectations? just really sad state of affairs.

i find the fact that they quite obviously very, very much underestimated (and then largely mishandled) the market need and desire for a truck like this pretty telling: these huge corporations are just too far removed from the sale, and too complacent in their brand recognition, to really have any idea of their customer’s needs. the skyrocketing demand for electric cars is another obvious example of this.

i’ll give Ford some credit as it seems they’re trying to correct, trying to reign in manipulation and thievery by their dealerships, but it’s been too slow and too late for some of us. and of course, it seems they made a really nice truck available, obv…but personally i feel too burned by the bullshit and am likely to go for a full electric (sadly, likely non-truck) option instead. i’ll pay attention again (other than occasionally browsing this forum of course!) when Ford builds an electric Maverick that they can actually sell to customers direct without dealers (as is their long term plan).

For as much time as you spend on this forum, you should know that anytime you find yourself typing “my dealer told me”, maybe just skip that comment because it is absolutely worthless speculation.

A good or bad dealer still has the same limited amount of information. There is no way your dealer has any idea when your truck will be delivered and them telling you any different is just hot air. “In their experience”? 😂 Buddy, they have no experience with delivery of 2023 Mavericks, and experience with anything else is irrelevant because these are very new and unusual circumstances.
Bottom line: your dealer has no clue and shouldn’t make uneducated guesses.

I'm sure it's already been mentioned but Ford Authority has a list of supply constraints and seems to indicate they are for dealer stock orders, not necessarily your order. Though there is probably overlap.

"Currently, the 2023 Ford Maverick supply constraints consist of front and rear splash guards, the hard-folding trifold bed cover, load box bedliner, pickup box extender, soft-folding tonneau cover, load box edge protector with lights, protective film for the hood and fenders, and the trailer hitch receiver. That latter item is not available to order as a standalone item, but is a part of the XLT Luxury Package, Lariat Luxury Package, FX4 Off-Road Package, and Tremor Off-Road Package.

Since 2023 Ford Maverick order banks are closed to customers, these constraints pertain to dealer stock orders, and it’s also worth noting that these supply constraints can change at any time, as has historically been the case."

Yes, constraints change all the time, dropping upgrades does not guarantee a quicker build. I say order your Mav the way you want even if it takes longer so you have no regrets, especially on items you cannot add later. It's better to wait for heated seats if you live in the north than wish you got them on 10 degree mornings. 360 safety features can save you from an accident if you get distracted. I think the BAP will be the best upgrade, especially black ActiveX seats in a Lariat vs brown and blue.

Your comment would make perfect sense if the choice was between option or no option. But the entire point here is not about having to possibly wait longer, it is about possibly not getting a truck at all.
Ask any of the thousands of people who never got the 22 they ordered how they feel about “order your Mav the way you want even if it takes longer so you have no regrets”.

I think it's likely that Ford would like to be able to sell direct to customers, but the dealers have it locked up in laws in most states. This is a case where the consumer should be able to decide if purchasing through a dealer has added value or not and make their own decision on how to buy. Unfortunately we don't get that choice.

I'm in the same boat - I have an EB on order with a hitch and rubber mats as the only addons. Are you sticking with your addons or dropping either (or both)?
At the moment sticking with both, I need a hitch on the truck, truck mats, I may remove at some point. I’d like to think that Ford could handle these 2 simple options. But who knows?

This would make sense if Ford would say if your truck could not be built early on instead of hoping and guessing all year than finally being told sorry. Computers track every aspect of their inventory and build process so Ford could communicate specific info about every buyer's order instead of saying sorry about the delay we are doing our best.

There are plenty of people who order their Mav loaded they way they want and get it. Compromising your build does not guarantee you will get it sooner. And leaving off the items you really want does not guarantee it will be built.

My dealer told me that information as if he was worried I would walk out as soon as he gave it to me. It wasn't a prediction of an exact date. It was a "um, you do realize this will take a while right?" To which I said sure. Given I didn't order a hybrid and the fact they have transports running into the lot on a regular basis, he wasn't concerned it taking a year. That was based on his experience with MY22, which was more constrained, and his knowledge of what Ford was planning to do.

Given I ordered an EB and the first batch appears to be all EB, I might slap him on the wrist for telling me it would take that long.

Can't belive those stupid splash guards are still a constaint. I took them off my build and got a vin 2 weeks later. Why does Ford still even offer them.

Nobody is saying there are any guarantees. I am saying that your advice to “just order what you want” only works if you are ok with increasing your chances of getting no truck.
