I'm sure it's already been mentioned but Ford Authority has a list of supply constraints and seems to indicate they are for dealer stock orders, not necessarily your order. Though there is probably overlap.

"Currently, the 2023 Ford Maverick supply constraints consist of front and rear splash guards, the hard-folding trifold bed cover, load box bedliner, pickup box extender, soft-folding tonneau cover, load box edge protector with lights, protective film for the hood and fenders, and the trailer hitch receiver. That latter item is not available to order as a standalone item, but is a part of the XLT Luxury Package, Lariat Luxury Package, FX4 Off-Road Package, and Tremor Off-Road Package.

Since 2023 Ford Maverick order banks are closed to customers, these constraints pertain to dealer stock orders, and it’s also worth noting that these supply constraints can change at any time, as has historically been the case."

That's the same list Ford put out a month ago. Take everything on Ford Authority with a touch of salt as it seems they get some of their info from us and that creates an infinite loop.

How do you know this?

The link to the article about constraints is above and the two full paragraphs from the article are above. The trailer hitch receiver that is constrained is not the stand-alone one but the one in the packages. This also only applied to dealer stock! So are not constraint items for retail orders. Those constraint items have been out fom a while. And are probably different that this list.

Don't take my word for it and just read the article.:) Steph

Honestly, Ford Authority doesn't know any more than we do. If there's a hard constraints list that is updated, I'm sure one of the dealer folks will post it up here for all to see.

I don't understand where it is that splash guards are a serious constraint item, I checked this afternoon and the Ford Accessories distributor had them in stock and that's where they ship to the dealership from when you order them with your vehicle. So, if you want them on your new Maverick, just have the dealership order them when your vehicle is shipping, they should be there to be installed prior to delivery.
Shows up as constrained because the warehouse has shipped them all out to dealers🤗

It's not the stand-alone Trailer hitch but the Trailer Hitch Receiver in the packages. The $100 trailer hitch is not a constrained item.
The stand alone $100 trailer hitch has a 4-pin receiver and the trailer hitch 4-pin receiver is in all the packages mentioned in the Ford Authority article except the 4K Tow Package which has a 7-pin receiver.

So if the trailer hitch with the 4-pin receiver is constrained in the packages that state it is a 4-pin then I cannot see how the stand alone $100 trailer hitch with the 4-pin receiver is also not constrained.

It was reported several times I know not where that the orders with the stand alone hitch had first access to the receivers then the packages had access next presumably when the had their constrained items. Do not know if it's true or not but does sound logical and would probably get more trucks assembled sooner.

All I know is that is what the article said. Just saying what I read. I also asked the ford video guy and he agreed.

I hope they don’t constrain the rubber floor mats, then I’m really screwed, that was the only other thing besides the $100 hitch that I ordered. 🤪

Damn, well my dealer still has 2 Mavericks previewing this morning but unfortunately mine is no longer previewing this week and was replaced with another 2022 rollover.

Sucks but it is what it is!
I haven't received any updates yet, except that my order was placed. Fortunately my dealer had a customers Larit delivered and the customer backed out. Had everything we ordered except a few items that were wants. So we bought it. My other one is still on order and when it comes in we will take a look and decide if we want it or decline. Then the dealer can make bank on it.

I'm in the same boat - I have an EB on order with a hitch and rubber mats as the only addons. Are you sticking with your addons or dropping either (or both)?

Of course not. Because this article is working with month-old information, not news.
