It would appear. Given our exchange on another thread yesterday, the one that got deleted actually surprised me. I wouldn't have even classified it as such especially given the comments on this thread that have remained.

Whatever. I have a full-time job and am not losing sleep over it.
:) I concur.

The trailer hitch receiver is not available stand alone?
I added it to my xl.
Yeah that’s a weird one. I would guess that 90%+ Mavericks are ordered with the hitch, as a package or an add-on.

To be clear it is the "trailer hitch receiver" that is constrained not the actual trailer hitch.

CURRENT 2023 FORD MAVERICK SUPPLY CONSTRAINTS REVEALED

Currently, the 2023 Ford Maverick supply constraints consist of front and rear splash guards, the hard-folding trifold bed cover, load box bedliner, pickup box extender, soft-folding tonneau cover, load box edge protector with lights, protective film for the hood and fenders,

and the trailer hitch receiver. That latter item is not available to order as a standalone item, but is a part of the XLT Luxury Package, Lariat Luxury Package, FX4 Off-Road Package, and Tremor Off-Road Package.
Weren't these already known a month ago? In fact, this article is in direct conflict with the thread that says the key constraints are the hybrid and splash guards. Also, it doesn't matter what the stock order constraints are, retail orders come first. Even stock EBs are months away.

The build info for the 2023 XLT luxury package specifically states it is the 4 pin receiver trailer hitch.

I removed all the options I can get added at the dealer (other than the floor trays), but by my reading the 2023 XLT luxury package hitch is a 4 pin.

You added the 4-pin receiver not the 7-pin one that comes in the "XLT Luxury Package, Lariat Luxury Package, FX4 Off-Road Package, and Tremor Off-Road Package".
7 pin, as far as I know, does not come with FX4. The 4k package is needed to get the 7pin.

Only the 4K is 7-pin. The one included with packages is the 4-pin.

So is the 4k tow package a constraint?

So the wiring connector and not the receiver.

I have and enjoy an ICE Escape (my wife drives). But with two kids, there are many times where we need more cargo storage. Low and behold, Ford introduces an Escape with a bed, aka Maverick. That Hybrid version looked very tempting. But I camp once a month with the boy scouts and having an extra vehicle available to pull the trailer would be helpful and the EB would still be more energy efficient than the Saturn I currently drive. And it's not like I don't work from home anyway and just buy one tank of gas every two-to-three months as it is. That said, I didn't want to spend almost double on an F-150. The Ranger has a smaller back seat and I have a 5'11" 12-year-old.

If Ford's Maverick PEZ dispenser was able to just push out Hybrids and those Hybrids had a 4K tow option, that is what I would have ordered. But as I work from home, the extra towing capacity was more important than the fuel savings since I don't buy a ton of fuel anyway (seriously, there are some of you buying Hybrids that will still spend more on fuel in a given year than I will with my EB). After the Maverick, our next vehicle will be an EV for my wife since she does 99% local driving.

Everyone has their reasons for buying what they are buying. If you are a daily commuter and don't have a need to tow anything, the Hybrid makes a ton of sense.
You come in with sound ideas.

Today I had to fill up my 2016 Ram 1500 Hemi at Costco. (Cheaper gas)

Now I am in Canada and I still had a quarter tank of gas when I pulled up. Today the gas was only: $2.179 LTR. My total fill was $169.97 and this will last me two weeks. (Last week the gas was $2.399 LTR)

It's ridiculous that Ford put so much marketing dollars into the Maverick as a super efficient hybrid but then can't build them. As far as the mud flaps are concerned Ford should delete them and ship the truck if that is the only thing missing. Were living in a strange world these days when plastic mudflaps are in short supply. I spent three years working in an injection molded plastic factory while going to school. We could crank these out by the thousands every day.
The mud flaps are an accessory. We decide if we want to remove them or wait for our truck.

You would not have been able to crank them out by the thousands if your supplier was not able to provide sufficient resin, colorant, or additives.

Where are you getting this? First off, the blog specifically says the hitch is constrained. That would impact 4K and non-4K orders with a hitch installed as the hitch itself is unchanged with the 4K. Second, our source is an online blog that gets some of its information from a forum that gets its information from that blog! See the problem?

I ready the post. They didn't share anything that wasn't already listed in Ford's MY23 constraint list a month ago.

At the current rate that existing 22 hybrid orders are being pushed back into November (mine included - for the 8th time), expect the following……

1. Few of any hybrids to start the 23MY
2. A much later start to the 23MY build, early December possible but more likely late, outside chance January.
3. The unexpected
With everything flying around in the MTC and on YouTube I called Ford.ca 1(800)# as they had told me that my 2022 Maverick Hybrid is previewing a few weeks back.
I was just told that there will be no more 2022 Hybrids for Canada, or myself. But I will be getting a 2023 in the summer. (I forgot to ask which summer. Lol)
I never was lucky to be issued a vin number back in 2022.

That really stinks. Without a VIN you are toast though for 22. At least by next summer they should have all the kinks worked out. Or, someone else will have a small hybrid truck.
