Has anyone undercoated their maverick with fluid film in the northeast? It looks like it needs it

I’m in the Midwest, but yes, I coat all our vehicles in Fluid Film/Woolwax. I buy in 5-gallon or 1-gallon pails and spray with a gun designed specifically for Fluid Film.

I will be coating mine first this fall. Have used Fluid Film, Woolwax and now have migrated to using Blaster Surface shield for the last 3-4 years on all my vehicles. I use either the professional spray kit with an air compressor and/or use a old Wagner electric paint sprayer.

Only thing I have noticed that will be different than vehicles I have owned in the past is removing the under NVH fiber panels to get to more areas they cover. I will also suggest dropping the spare tire to get the underside of the bed and spray down spare rim itself. .

I too will be searching out shops that specialize in spraying our Mavericks. My older Silverado has has multiple applications of "Rust Chek" and is one of the few solid "rust free" trucks on the road.

I use Krown on all my vehicles. My 2008 Ranger was completely rust free when I sold it in Jan 25 after all those Ontario winters (lots of winter salt). If you touched the frame while doing oil changes, you got it everywhere, but it kept the body and frame literally as new which is certainly not the case for untreated Ontario Rangers.

Had a shop do Krown, I plan on a reapplication of it every other year. Their warranty requires annual respray but I'm not that concerned about it. I also did a pump sprayer application of ACF-50 under the hood myself which should help with corrosion AND rodents.

I buy a new truck right before my gap coverage stops and my extended warranty expires at five years old, because these things are delicate and total out if you fart too hard in the drivers seat.
No need to spray anything.

I'm going with a product/process called Corrosion 3000...(look it up, there's quite an extensive write up on it) apparently military tested and proven

Just a suggestion for an unmentioned product Amsoil HD MP
I use this on my F150 in WI. Large spray can that can do my truck with a single can. If careful spraying there will be do drips, the protectant sets up quite quickly to a waxy feeling surface.
Ford Maverick Undercoating with fluid film? _8311482_DxO

Krown app. every spring since new , a must here on the east coast of NL Canada.
Winters or salt use in Michigan is hard on metal. When I was a kid use to be a paint shop that used like a grease I believe it was Davis Collision on Cogswell Rd in Romulus Michigan. Last vehicle didn't rustproof so it was something I needed to do and plan too as well. The issue is trying to find something similar. Not many Krown facilities in Michigan. Still it seems the closest to something I was familiar with over 50 years ago. So that and it seemed to work in Canada so I felt more confident then a wax formula. Nobody likes the dripping but everyone likes that it's working into joints, seams and it appears to be working for others with the reviews. I will know in time as the truck ages and more winters and salt.

I included my own post for Krown but appreciated all the other posts that used Krown. I might have made the right decision with using Krown. At least I hope so.

Yes, former Michigander here. Decades ago there was a greasy material called "Texaco" or something like that. I went to place in Dearborn. It went out of vogue in the 90's or early 00's. Maybe it's still around somewhere. Better than the old school Ziebart. I'm in AZ now, so no need.
