I used the Dynamat Dynaliner supposably it's made specifically for underhood - got it off AmazonYa, just now saw that. Thanks. Where did you get the Dynamat? I'm assuming that's a brand name.

Looks great ! Very Nice.I installed Dynamat yesterday
It did cut down sound at low speed (haven't taken it on the freeway yet)
I made a cardboard template first and cut it to size.
I think it makes for a much cleaner look as well!
I had some extra KillMat from another project that I installed first - I put the KillMat into the depressions to make the surface more flat for the Dynamat to stick to.![]()
I'll be sure to check that out. ThanksI used the Dynamat Dynaliner supposably it's made specifically for underhood - got it off Amazon![]()
@Oscarcat did you ever get this Bronco Sport under hood insulation to fit properly? If you did do mind sharing how you did it?Hood insulator: Mine arrived today 12/12/2022. Part # M1PZ16738-B is a blanket type material and mounts ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE HOOD. Not to be confused with the molded rubber engine cover for the 2.0L EB that mounts on the engine. The blanket included the rectangular plastic clips positioned in holes stamp-cut into the blanket. HOWEVER it is not a direct fit. The holes do not align with any under the hood. Additionally, there are two flaps and no place under the Mav hood to tuck them into. Before I go and cut and modify the blanket I would like to know what others have done. Did you simply disregard the pre-cut holes for the clips and cut holes where the hood has them or did you use contact cement to glue the blanket to the underside of the hood, disregarding the clips entirely? I attached a photo of the part for those who requested one. The overall dimensions are 21 1/2" deep X 53" and it will fit exactly under the hood. It just doesn't mate with any existing cut outs or holes in the metal.

RE: Hood liner from Bronco - sadly no, I did not get it to fit properly. The Bronco hood is totally different which I could have determined had I gone to look at a Bronco in person. None of the holes line up. The part came with clips, none worked to hold the hood liner in place. The plastic clips are rectangular. I suppose I can go out and purchase round ones at an auto supply store but I lost interest. Since mine is a 2.0 EB, I was able to find the engine cover cushion. It really is a cushion, being made of a medium density foam. That helped with some of the injector noise that the direct injection engine produces. Overall, my Lariat with the acoutic windshield is pretty quiet so maybe one day I will take time to get clips that fit into the Mav's holes. Meanwhile, I like your Dynamat solution - maybe i will play with that.@Oscarcat did you ever get this Bronco Sport under hood insulation to fit properly? If you did do mind sharing how you did it?

Lincoln Town Car. I drive for VIPs and under the hood is thick shiny silver insulation on hood, firewall & fenders. We also idle a lot, but they probably have thicker radiator and coolers for all the fluids.Never seen a factory foil faced hood insulator on any car, and I’ve owned a Pontiac, Plymouth, Mercury, Ford, Volvo, Honda, Toyota, and Hyundai.
Skip this product and use Dynamat Extreme instead- Dynaliner is useless.I'll be sure to check that out. Thanks
Can you provide the part number to the 2.0 engine cover you got? Are there tabs present already or so we need to buy those as well? I haven’t looked under my hood so much so can’t recall if they’re there. Thanks!RE: Hood liner from Bronco - sadly no, I did not get it to fit properly.
