I have a 23 Lariat. I'm not wild about the seat on a long drive. I bought a tapered seat cushion from Amazon. They have several. I think I got one with about a 3" lift on the back. Seemed to help me on longer trips. I think I may try the spacers as mentioned in an earlier post

Tapered seat cushion?

whoever designed the seats needs to be fired. Lumbar support if you call it that is too low. Not enough foam/comfort; bolsters too stiff.

im looking at all options. Trading it in has started to creep in

I'm surprised at the trade in thing for seats. There are quite a few recalls and issues that are as frustrating.

I don't mind the seats. I'm 6'2" 205 lbs and they seem to fit me pretty well. A little stiff but this is after all a cheap truck. Was in price and build quality, but now price is jacked up. So, in build quality only now.......

I wonder how ez it would be to swap seats from one of those vehicles you find comfortable? It WOULD be ez to find some in a wrecking yard.

I agree that the seats leave a lot to be desired, but even the higher trim models are just the same seats with a different wrapping.

I find the factory system loud and clear enough for me, despite years of playing live in venues of all sizes and being partially deaf because of it. And recent acquisition of a new Strandberg 8-string multiscale and "seeing what it can do" with my dual Marshal stacks at near full volume (but not all the way to 11...) isn't helping.

Hot tip: Just put some big boat speakers mounted to the top of the cab to share music with innocent bystanders two blocks away. They don't need to be able to hear their own radios or conversations with someone right next to them, anyway. Besides, they might understand how cool and advanced you are if they hear the band you're listening to. And other dudes will be attracted to it and come over to meet you, like some sort of modern mating call. It repels females, though.

Yep! Sunn 400 watt lead amp for my Telecaster and a 200 watt Kustom bass for other uses. My brother on his Ludwig drums and sister in law on an organ that she thought should be HEARD above all of us. Tinnitus is so bad, drowns out most anything I would like to hear. Hearing aids have a setting for that, kind of helps a bit. Those days are long over at 70 plus, but now we pay the price brother!

I think I would try the spacers first before trade in. Cheap, easy and quick and it may help out. Maybe even a seat swap with the Bronco Sport if you could get them at a reasonable price. No fun driving when your back is killing you. Good luck!

Find a seat from a Focus, Fiesta, Fusion, Escape or Bronco sport that's comfortable and the odds are it'll probably bolt in.
It's been proven that Focus ST seats fit and they're wonderfully comfortable and Fiesta ST seats should also work, since they fit the Focus.

Fusion and Escape seats may work, they're all built on the same platform. If it bothers you that much I'd look at the options.
Good idea...but I had a 2013 Focus. I sat in the ST and the dam seats were WAY too tight for me. Nice as hell...just too tight on the sides. And I am not a big guy. 5' 6" and about 188. Got the SE and the leather seats were perfect.

Must admit after driving it round this week, not real upset about being "forced" into Lariat for ACC... seats are great, can only fault them for seeming a tad warm at times. (Did I knock the bun warmer on? No.)

Those comments were for Bill and his hearing issues. Otherwise, my comments were absolutely worthless for this thread!

Here is what I did to make my seats tolerable. 1) Cal King neosupreme covers. 2) three 1/8 washers installed under the bolts on the front of the seat track.

I now rate my seats a 6/10, previously a 4/10.

Old fart, 1959 model.
My 2024 Lariat seats are among the best I’ve ever had. Super perfect fit to my skinny ass.
I find them very comfortable.

Coincidence?
I run about 25-35 miles a week. I'm old, so that's about all I find comfortable to do. About 2-3 months after acquiring the Maverick and driving it almost exclusively, about 5k miles total, I started having an issue after a couple miles with my Left hamstring cramping up a bit. This subsequently became more problematic in a couple weeks, becoming very tight and spreading to my calf, and I would be limping around for a couple days afterward. I have never had this problem before in 50 years of running. I've been off the running juice for more than a month at a time since it caused limping, and a slow-pace "test run" produced the same results (meaning that it isn't an injury, it would have healed up a bit).
I'm wondering if the cheap Mav seats and change in seating position from my Transit(not Connect) have anything to do with it?

Anyone else have any aches and pains after switching to Maverick from something else?
