I wonder how ez it would be to swap seats from one of those vehicles you find comfortable? It WOULD be ez to find some in a wrecking yard.

I agree that the seats leave a lot to be desired, but even the higher trim models are just the same seats with a different wrapping.

I find the factory system loud and clear enough for me, despite years of playing live in venues of all sizes and being partially deaf because of it. And recent acquisition of a new Strandberg 8-string multiscale and "seeing what it can do" with my dual Marshal stacks at near full volume (but not all the way to 11...) isn't helping.

Hot tip: Just put some big boat speakers mounted to the top of the cab to share music with innocent bystanders two blocks away. They don't need to be able to hear their own radios or conversations with someone right next to them, anyway. Besides, they might understand how cool and advanced you are if they hear the band you're listening to. And other dudes will be attracted to it and come over to meet you, like some sort of modern mating call. It repels females, though.

Yes my Maverick is gone....but Im still here.... 6'2 200# and work out daily.....and I loved the truck...seats were comfortable at first but the first time I did an hour drive.....yeah I was not a fan .....

Same thing- non adjustable seat bottom - and I decided the seats were too "foamy" and the short seat bottom combined....

I loved the truck so had it not been totaled I would have tried to find seats from a different Ford model that fit ...I do like the washer idea though to raise the front.....

Not sure I wanna really attract males but thanks for the tip ha ha. Yeah I’m more looking at replacing the stock speakers and getting an amplifier and then within the next year getting a subwoofer. Yes it might be as base as base can be and I wish I had the 360 package but outside of that I really love the car. I really love the hybrid features. But like I said I kind of wanna focus on first things first which is getting a new seat that makes it comfortable and then buying the speakers that I’m looking at from Crutchfield.

My absolute last course of action would be trading it in. I’m doing everything I can to keep it because I love the car. I love the way it handles too. I wish it had a little more of a giddyup on the base model when you’re trying to accelerate. Today it was kind of giving me these weak crash starts and I hope it’s not a transmission issue. Mine is only 3000 miles in

Yeah that’s the other thing I was wondering. I saw that option here believe it or not in this exact forum but when I see things like raising the front, wouldn’t that make it more painful on the hips? I have pretty bad hip bursitis. A lot of my injuries I have obtained are from my lifting years. I didn’t really listen to the doctor back then. I kept pushing even when I was in pain. Doctor used to tell me hey you have to listen to your body and I didn’t really care what he thought and now I guess I’m paying for it like he said. But anyway as I said I have a lot of injuries. But when I sat in the Nissan seat that I used to have I never had any concerns. So that’s why I kind of wish that there was a way I could find another seat kind of like the bronco sport that I sat in recently that I thought was pretty good or bringing back a Nissan seat like from the rogue or the Murano like I had that would be perfect. And I have upholstery people saying that they can make it somewhat like that.

If I may, and I know you said you’re supposed totaled but if I may, what car did you end up going to

A quick websearch found used Murano and Rogue front seats starting at $150, but most are $300-450. Probably $200+ at a local wrecking yard.
I couldn't quickly find a spec sheet of mounting hole and base size, but my experience with car seats makes me think it wouldn't be difficult to put Maverick bases on the seats. Maybe a few holes to drill. Or maybe a universal swivel base would match the base to the seat. I have one of these in my Transit(not Connect):

All,

I have the '25 Maverick XL Hybrid in Blue. LOVE the color.

I've read some posts on here mentioning how bad people feel their seats are (and have read some like them). For me, they are the most uncomfortable seats I've had. Those bolsters kill my legs and hips and the lack of a lumbar support kills my back. I used to be a body builder and a high level athlete. Now I'm a body builder of different sorts (due to injuries it hurts to exercise).

I know the Nissan Murano and Rogue have same seat sizes as the Maverick, (I came from the Murano) and the some of the best seats in the business. Their transmission sucks, but seats are great. So my dream is to steal those seats or have an upholstery place recreate it.

But I heard the Bronco Sport seats are comfortable. People mention higher trims of the Maverick are better. Not sure. What's all your opinions? I'm a bigger guy, so I want my comfort :)

(No, trading in the Maverick is not one of the options)

Regarding the Sound, I have a pair of Hertz speakers picked out with a Kicker Amplifier that will be going in soon. Can't blast my metal with these stock speakers and the windows open.
Didn't you test drive it first? I’m 6' 2" 200lbs and it works fine for me. I'm not so wide my legs rub together though.

I put a cheap powered sub behind the back seat and it really improved the sound.

This is still going strong after a couple years https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079PRCP9W?th=1
I used a command strip to mount the volume to the center arm rest. Easy to wire the sub straight to the hybrid battery, and I already had a rear dashcam wired so I just spliced the 'turn on trigger' to that.

Use the front speakers as output, the rears have less bass.

Things like seats are so individualized. My nice sedan I find the seats uncomfortable now. But I've lost 150 pounds since I bought it, and I guess I miss the padding. But it is fine if I use a seat cushion.

But my 2025 XLT with luxury, I don't need the cushion. And this Maverick is definitely lower trim.

I have ended up with cars that are comfortable for half an hour, but get uncomfortable after that long. Test drives don't tend to find that. Also you get it coming on quicker because of still being sore from last time if you drive it daily.

Stuff catches you out too, like one car will make your elbow sore, so you make real sure your next car doesn't, and that one gets your knee, so you make sure the next one doesn't get your elbow or knee, and it's got this funny side to side jounce on rough pavement that gets your lower back, so then you avoid all three of those and get it cutting off circulation on the back of your thighs, etc etc...

Anyway, yeah I've done gel seat cushions in some, lumbar cushions in others, one it was "generally sending my ass numb" and one of those beaded covers is what it took.

For the stereo. Some base models I have come across have extremely bad default mixer settings and messing around with those in settings can make it sound like a whole different system.

I guess it comes down on how people are built. Have absolutely nothing bad to say about the seats in my 25'XL. Picked it up in Kentucky and drove back to Houston without an issue. Just hate the passenger seat as it is not height adjustable but fortunately, I never use it unless I had a few drinks.
The regular cloth seats have been a lot more comfortable than the seats in my last few vehicles, although I might agree that it seems like the lower seat pad is angled a bit too high. I am pretty flexible and sit with the back almost at a 90 degree angle though.

One of my grandfathers would have rather been buried alive than eat at a fast food restaurant, so on road trips with him there were always stops to sit on something else at a restaurant, and we would take 10-15 min breaks walking around at rest areas or small towns. Allotting some time to not be sitting in the same seat on long trips goes a long way.

If you really want to go first class, check out replacing the seats with ones from a Lincoln Corsair. 10 way adjustable power seats. 24 way for the driver seat.

When I talked with Ford on the phone they had mentioned that the holes in the number of holes are lined up the same but it’s the metal bar they said on the bottom that might be different because they said there might be a curvature in a different place. At the end of the day if there’s a way to get a Nissan seat in the car like that I would be jumping at the first opportunity. Like I said I love the vehicle and if we can put a Nissan seat in that and it only has to be for a driver seat because I’m not sitting in the passenger seat or the rear seats it would be heaven for me. And then I put my stereo in there and we’re golden

I discovered the adjustable lumbar support in my Lux package XLT has no height adjustment, so the cushion I bought for it will effectively delete the lumbar.

I mean I get that. But I can’t keep using pillows every time I get in the car or cushions I should say. I had left hip bursitis prior to having in this car and it never really bothered me except every now and then. But it has been consistently in pain since I’ve bought the car. And I’m trying to find a way with new seats or padding through upholstery or something so that I don’t have to hop onto a cushion and have lumbar support all the time which essentially is 2 inches higher and then 2 inches away from the seat so it adjusts my body and now I’m on a seat and on top of that I’m on top of a cushion which causes more pain

And again I’ve heard people saying well if you weren’t so overweight that’s not a problem. However not morbidly obese but I do have some weight.

But I have a neighbor in my neighborhood who is as I mentioned previously underweight I wouldn’t say she’s razor thin but she’s healthy if that makes sense and she had mentioned she has to adjust her sitting position quite a few times when she drives. Now I seen two other people that have Mavericks in the neighborhood and I’m interested in talking to them but I don’t really see them outside their car
