Getting ready to take my truck back in for the second time for a dead battery, no start condition and wanted fuse 11 in place for their troubleshooting. Feared I would drop it and did. Apparently it went under foam block and down under carpeting. Is there a way that anyone knows of to get at it without removing much of the plastic around the passengers foot well?
Maybe it's easier to source another one.

Only 2 times. I wouldn't remove fuses or reprogram the BCM charge rate with Forscan. You could void your warranty and they will say you helped cause the issue. Let the battery die and after 3 times use the Lemon law.

Regarding your battery: Wet cell or AGM replacement?

Still the OEM BXT wet cell.
It doesn't fix the charging problem. A bigger or AGM only masks the issue. They may last longer, but will eventually be continually discharged without getting a sufficient charge. Sulfation! Read all the threads over the past 3 years. There was 1 recall for a bad battery in some, I believe 2022's, that's it. The rest is what I mentioned, and 4 SSM'S. A fix was promised for the 1st quarter of 2025 in 2024. It never manifested. Do you want all the information.

No, I'm well aware of the BMS origins of this problem. An AGM replacement would have been nice, but not a real solution. I did end up with a BXT 470, so Ford kicked the can only a short distance down the road. Sure would be nice if the aftermarket developed a decent BMS for all vehicles with this problem. Guessing the OEM's don't want to screw up their CAFE ratings.

Did you find the fuse you dropped? Or
Did you buy a new 3 prong 5amp fuse?

Have not replaced it yet. Will not bother to tear interior apart. Took truck in (to dealer) without it and they replaced battery under warranty as stated with no questions. Will source one soon.

I was wondering whether there would be any questions at the dealership. Obviously not.
